Turns out Trump’s rusty “Bribe Force One” flying grift-gift from Qatar will actually require $1.5 BILLION in taxpayer money to repair, meaning Trump will take illegal money for a domestic emolument on top of the illegal money in his foreign emolument.

This has encouraged me to bump up my order of headstrap Powecom KN95s from 50 to 100 (currently on sale for 25% off at Bonafide Masks), and continue to wear them whenever I am indoors, while riding public transportation, or navigating crowds outdoors.

“According to the Partnership for Public Service, which studies the federal work force, DOGE’s attacks on government personnel — its firings, rehirings, use of paid administrative leave and all the associated lack of productivity — could cost the government upwards of $135 billion this fiscal year”

This is his only biography now

As much fun as the TACO memes are, don't forget what that stands for: TRUMP ALWAYS CHICKENS OUT. It would be a shame to ignore the chicken memes that are there for the taking. Here's a little Starter Kit you might need. ENJOY!

A lot of people know about the Germans in the space program, but the more relevant engineer might be Qian Xuesen, the MIT/CalTech aerospace professor who co-founded JPL and was sent to recruit the Germans. We deported him the 1950s. He became the leader of China’s missile program.

He spent a year writing for Gateway Pundit, which should be disqualifying for any job, much less this one.

SCOOP: The State Department's new reorganization plan includes the opening of an "Office for Remigration," a term popularized by far right extremists and neo-Nazis in Europe. The office will coordinate directly with DHS "to advance the President’s immigration agenda." My report:

The Trump administration is canceling a nearly $600-million contract to the drugmaker Moderna that was intended to develop a shot for humans against bird flu.

Mark the date.

Breaking: HHS is canceling a $600 million contract with Moderna to develop, test, and license vaccines for flu strains that could trigger future pandemics, including the dangerous H5N1 bird flu virus.

BREAKING: In a serious blow to US pandemic flu preparedness, HHS has cancelled a contract with Moderna to test and license prototype vaccines for #H5N1 #birdflu and other potential pandemic viruses. In a pandemic, mRNA is the fastest way to vaccine doses. www.statnews.com/2025/05/28/m...

Trump reduced the tariffs on China in exchange for nothing. He paused the tariffs on Canada & Mexico in exchange for nothing. He postponed tariffs on EU in exchange for nothing. He threatened Russia with sanctions if they didn’t sign ceasefire & did nothing. Art of the Deal.

Hard to believe they’re talking about the same event.

National missile defense is the longest-running scam in the history of the Department of Defense. Musk didn’t invent it, but he’s about to get a whole lot richer by perpetuating it. https://trib.al/Qpb9WJE

Unreal: To sustain his lie about a "genocide" of "white farmers" while meeting with the South African president, Trump used a photo of war deaths in the Democratic Republic of Congo. I looked into this a bit more. It's worse than it first appeared. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/1956...

This is absolutely terrible news. With the shifting regulatory climate (i.e., antivax ratfuckery), Moderna has withdrawn their application for their eagerly anticipated COVID-flu combo vaccine. This vaccine offered better protection than getting each shot separately. h/t @merz.bsky.social

Caregivers to disabled people and aging adults (who do not have certain health conditions) will not be able to get the Covid booster in the future under new rules, putting people they care for at risk. New from me at @motherjones.com www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Charles Kushner was convicted of making false statements to the FEC and pleaded guilty to tax evasion & witness tampering. And Trump pardoned him. Of course, I voted NO to advance Kushner’s nomination as AMBASSADOR TO FRANCE. We don't need any more Kushners in government.

Under Trump's economic plan, people making between $17K and $51K could lose an average $700 in after-tax income, taking into account tax and social spending changes, according to a new study. Those make $4.3M or more would gain an average $389K. @tonyromm.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/05/16/u...

The “fluoride removal” bit is a solution in search of a problem. Fluoride levels in Florida are completely safe, help prevent cavities, and keep kids in school. Where’s the evidence it’s been remotely harmful? There isn’t any. No ethics, no morals, all smoke and mirrors.

Isolating this from the person who thought I couldn't live without seeing it: "The term originated in the soup kitchens of the Great Depression, where the standard pot held 85 cups of soup, so the 86th person was out of luck." #YHGtBFKMwTS

so to be clear about what happened here, the Trump White House released audio meant to make Joe Biden look bad to Axios hours after the US's credit rating was downgraded. Trump wanted a distraction and the usual suspects in the press are happy to oblige.

The plaque honoring the heroes of January 6 is finished, but the GOP refuses to hang it in the Capitol. Not one Republican has offered a reason why. If they can’t respect the officers who defended our democracy, the very least they can do is respect the law.
