I know so many pedestrians have the same imagery of bats & bricks. The irony is that's exactly what the drivers do. Threaten violence. Revving at you. Honking and playing chicken with you. Punish passing you. And *then* there's violence they threaten from their mouths jcitytimes.com/op-ed-the-de...

Our latest newsletter was just published!

Please join us for a candlelight vigil in remembrance of the child lost on our streets and in support of their family. Remember. Support. Act. We will not forget. Sunday, June 15, 7pm, Hamilton Park Gazebo.

I love my city, everyone who lives here knows this could have been their child. We are all heartbroken. A senior was recently also killed in the cross walk a few months ago. Why would we do this to ourselves? This is not normal. It doesn't have to be this way.

👍Democrats and Republicans should both be into counting votes fast. 👎Unfortunately, Hudson County dropped the ball on the election again and the close races in LD-32 and LD-31 didn't have total counts until nearly a full day after the election.

THANK YOU Jersey City and Hoboken. This is what democracy looks like! This is our win, for and by the people. We did it. We really did it. I am so proud to be your democratic nominee for Assembly along with @ravibhalla.bsky.social More to come! 📷 credit @jerseycitytimes.bsky.social

Trying to put Apple Music in the trash clones it and puts a copy in the trash but keeps it in Applications. Whoever at Apple did this, you are hilarious 🤣

1. Ranked choice voting / STAR voting is badly needed in the general 2. Progressives broke the machine in Jersey City and Hoboken. In LD-32 the HCDO candidates were crushed. Even if there's variance in the outstanding votes, it will be a Fulop candidate that wins, not HCDO. In LD-31, /

Don't look now but the Hudson County nameservers are down so no Hudson County websites are available including the Hudson County Elections website. Coincidence that the machine is broken on the same day the Machine is broken?

morning: 4 Dems who ran independent of their local bosses have won Assembly seats -Ed Rodriguez in Union County's LD-20 -Katie Brennan & either Ravi Bhalla or Jessica Ramirez in Hudson County's LD-32 -Kenyatta Stewart in Paterson-based LD-35 still tbd: Barbara McCann Stamato in Hudson County's LD-31

Fulop would mean a dramatic positive change for NJ on many of the biggest issues: housing, transit, public space These are universalist policies that would both raise the floor *and* grow the pie. The framing of who is the most progressive vs who can win is misguided. Universalist policies are both

Not at all exciting or politics: Someone mistakenly added 8 minutes to my drying cycle at the laundromat. I don't think there was a reason for it, just honest mistake. Those industrial dryers get so hot, could have been not good for the clothes, but I was lucky I knew the time and caught it.

My closing argument. Questions? Undecided? Call me. Really. 201-898-0605 hudsoncountyview.com/op-ed-im-kat...

Equity is when we protect white people from being run over by speeding cars but not people of color

Better Blocks issues its voters guide for LD-32. Learn who we think voters should vote for on June 10, and why. https://betterblocksnj.org/2025/06/08/endorsements-support-and-opposition-in-ld-32/

Generally thought Ramos was good on issues. It's really confusing to read NYC mayoral discourse. Zero explanation of: 1. Why Cuomo is doing so well 2. Why Ramos would endorse Cuomo But it's buried in the article. Progressive unions were the first betrayers. They left Ramos and all endorsed Cuomo.

The $11-billion highway expansion would double road capacity heading toward Lower Manhattan. Of the contenders, only Mayors Steve Fulop of Jersey City and Ras Baraka of Newark oppose it.

This is a great point. I don't know that roads should pay property taxes- maybe they should. But the same crowd that claims to oppose "giveaways to developers" when it's time to build densely near them is usually silent when it comes to gigantic roadways occupying valuable land and paying nothing

Learn why Assemblywoman Barbara McCann Stamato earned the unanimous support of the @betterblocksnj.bsky.social steering committee and our strong endorsement in the June 10 LD-31 Democratic primary.

If anyone is interested in last-minute canvassing for Katie Brennan and Ravi Bhalla: www.mobilize.us/katiebrennan...

NJ home prices have skyrocketed. Up 65% in just 5 years. Fonseca and Pu putting out fake numbers about rents in Jersey City and ignoring regional dynamics is the economics equivalent of climate-change denial. Disqualifying. Also HCDO candidates talking about moving on from political bosses 🤣

just voted early for Steven Fulop. it was a tough call between him and Ras Baraka but I'm not seeing the early turnout from urban minorities that I think Baraka would need, so I think Fulop is our best chance at defeating Sherrill.

Since I've been asked, endorsements 🧵: For good of NJ and LD-32, the best team is Steve Fulop for Governor, Katie Brennan & Ravi Bhalla for Assembly. They genuinely care about good transit, Vision Zero, stopping the Turnpike Trap, and dealing with the housing shortage. Receipts: path.pub/@votenj
