Being in the Faroe Islands is weird because it’s light for 22 hours but you never see the sun. But this morning? We got one precious hour of sunshine and it was glorious.

I swear this planet is so badass

Third trip to Copenhagen but we finally made it to the Shrek church. Unfortunately no donkey sightings today

It is 5:48am in Doha but 10:48 in Hong Kong which means it’s for sure wine o clock in the Qatar airport

The best thing you can do before a 1am flight halfway around the world? Spend the day at Disney! Saying bye to Asia!

I don’t know who’s idea it was to put a ride photo on Pooh but I blame Chapek

I won’t pretend Hong Kong Disneyland is the best international park, but it’s the one that gives me the closest feeling to what I have at WDW (but without any lines). It’s a relaxing experience with a vibe I enjoy the most of the intl Disneys

We’re back!

A fun thing for us: as our full time travel journey winds down, we hit the first step to finding a new home! I get to start a masters program in November in New Zealand, which means come October we get to move to Welly!

Not me crying five times during Lilo and Stitch

We weren’t planning on coming back to Hong Kong this year but I’m so glad we did. There’s nowhere in the world like hanging out in the mid levels at night

Showing our kid Marcel the Shell and it holds up as a top 5 internet video of all time

We see signs like this a fair bit in airports while traveling. It basically says be careful if you’ve got a job offer in certain countries saying you’ll be rich, it might be a scam, and you may never come back. Anyways, I’m sure the labor for Disney Abu Dhabi construction will be fine

We’ve been so busy in Japan that I haven’t been on here at all, but we’re down to our last 7 of 50 days here, and time really does fly

The king of the kids area!

Celebration ready! She calls this her Nubs outfit

Only took a one hour train layover in Kyoto to be reminded why it’s my least favorite Japanese city, and not close to worth the droves of tourists there

Even remote Japan is ready for Star Wars Celebration

The saddest part of being in Japan this long is seeing the cherry blossoms start to fall. It’s beautiful to watch, a great reminder of the fleeting nature of the world, but really sad to see full bloom pass.

There is nothing like Sakura season in Japan. Everyone is just so happy to be outside, finding a tree to picnic under with family and friends, watching the kids run around. You can just feel how much people cherish and anticipate these days of full bloom.

During the seventh inning in Hiroshima the entire stadium starts blowing up balloons to all let go at the same time after the top half of the inning

A beautiful Friday night for baseball in Hiroshima!

A few little glimpses of the last handful of days around Japan’s Miyazaki Prefecture

China, South Korea, and Japan coming together to have a joint response to US tariffs has me thinking maybe they were all right. Maybe god did actually appoint Tr*mp to unite the world by creating an evil so dumb everyone else can’t help but work together to defeat it.

Today’s the day I’ve been waiting for a long time…we’re going to Costco Japan

Headed back out to Kerama Islands today! Truly one of the most beautiful places on the planet, can’t wait to spend a few days out here

Getting to okinawa is the best because it means boarding the Pokemonorail!

I can’t remember the last time I laughed harder than this scene

Last night in Taiwan spent at one of our favorite night markets. Raohe is a great spot to end time here, because you know you’ll find a good version of everything you’ve loved in other places. Two weeks here has flown by and cemented this as a favorite country, but 6 weeks in Japan softens the blow

Snow White is nowhere near as bad as people are making it out to be. Doesn’t mean it’s great, but the anti Disney hive mind on these movies is so real

The last quarter of the Severance finale gave the same vibes as when the raptors escape in Jurassic Park. The flashing lights, the flip in who’s in charge, moving from caged to free. Feels like season 3 is going to have some “life finds a way” themes

Is this the worst NCAA first round since the field went to 64+? Not just like no upsets but not even entertaining games

When happy hour is all you can drink

Ate pork floss ice cream tonight. First bite was interesting, second bite was good, fifth bite was wondering what I’m doing to my body
