To all the Democratic Representatives lambasting the "One Big Beautiful Bill", you need to post your counter proposal. What would Democrats do if they had the power. We know the Republican congress is horrific. We don't know if the Democrats have a plan...any plan...to address the nation's problems.

Prediction: Trump will NOT back down on his latest 25% tariff increase to prove he is not "chicken". The TACO talk hurts his ego and decisions about tariffs will now be based on proving he isn't chicken rather than any rational economic reasonings. Ego is now governing the country, not logic.

Trump's supporters must first feel pain from his actions in order to avoid him becoming a martyr after the mid-terms. Their Medicaid must be cut. Walmart shelves emptied of low-priced imports. Laid off from their good-paying green energy jobs. Only then will their pain cause them to change.

What I'd really like to see happen: a weekend meeting between Harris, Buttigieg, Beshear, Newsom, Shapiro, and Whitmer. No need for a press conference or a public agenda. Just the six of them with no staff getting together for two meetings over one weekend. No Schumer, Pelosi, or Sanders.
