#MedSky #PrimaryCare Does everyone know that primary care no longer has to sign off on PT/OT plans of care? this was effective January 1 I don’t think anyone knew and I would love to know who did it maybe the physical therapist this is one less chore for primary care!!!

#MedSky #PrimaryCare it has become clear to me the reason we are so stuck and no one helps us in primary care is specialists. AMA coddles them for instance why should I ever have to pay staff /stop work to write a referral to radiation oncology of course patients need to go there.

#PrimaryCare,MedSky. It used to be that I could evaluate a patient , and refer to nephrology or cardiology etc,but now consultants look at the chart and insist that I order all kinds of tests before they will even be seen. I suggest they order tests needed. Stop dumping on primary care.

#MedSky #FamilyMedicine. It used to be that a woman with a breast mass was sent to the surgeon who did a biopsy and informed her of results and referred her to oncology, etc. now the radiologist does the biopsy and dumps it back on us to tell her the results more and more work for primary care.

#MedSky #PrimaryCare. Primary care needs a Martin Luther King Jr. our. Colleagues may have their own troubles, but they have no clue no clue and make no effort to support us. The entire country needs to face primary care and support us but docs won’t do it. We need a MLK Jr. to organize us.
