I’m posting my Mikhail Ilyin mixtape tomorrow. All in all it’s about 30 games of action. I will say this: I’ve seen this prevailing sentiment that he’s a bad skater. I disagree. I think he’s an extremely agile and intentional skater. He’s very smart and uses a variety of tempos in attack.

Finishing up my last 10 Benjamin Kindel games tonight. The one thing that doesn’t get discussed enough is how much of his offense is born from his great defense. I have so many clips of his backcheck and stick work creating zip turnovers that send him off to the races.

You hate to say the Penguins winning is disappointing, but there's a big difference between 9th and 4th in this draft. At the 9th spot, my primary focus is Djurgarden's wing Victor Eklund. I have been in this boat all year and they're right in the meat of being in his range, anywhere from 6-10.

I know a lot of people are set on the Penguins getting a center. I understand why. If they get to retain the Rangers pick, the ability to grab a center (there's a glut of them available) plus a wing or defenseman is pretty tantalizing as far as restocking the pipeline goes.
