Moving as soon as my roommate and I find a place that meets our needs. Colorado bound. Clean air and water, better medical care, chosen family, culture everywhere, and a massive load off my mind and shoulders. This is the best thing for my life, and I'm excited.

People should NEVER forget the song Strange Fruit. It's powerful, painful, and a stark reminder of horrible things done in the name of hatred. We cannot allow those acts to EVER be repeated. We have to stand and fight however we can to prevent more death. Do NOT ignore the lessons of history.

Early this morning, I had to listen to Strange Fruit again, thanks to a tv show. The tears started within seconds. It breaks my heart every single time. Nobody should ever forget the horrors perpetrated in the name of hatred. Never let them happen again. Never again.

Seen in a TTRPG Discord server:

Goodbye to my cousin, Dr. William Feddersen, a life-long educator and major supporter of community colleges, not to mention being one of the youngest community college presidents at the age of 32. He was 84 years old. His dedication to education was simply amazing. He will be missed.

The reality is hitting me: I now have the formula to complete my projects. I don't know what's scarier; the fact they'll be completed and open to public scrutiny, or the possibility they might, somehow, succeed.

This life has, so far, been Shakespearean: Enter wet, and exit pursued by a bear.

When does creativity become too much? Too many details? Too much deviation from what people can relate to? Too disruptive to mainstream sensibilities? Or is it too much when the creator thinks it's too much? (Pardon my dangling participle.)

So, as expected, I went a wee bit off-plot after joining this network for the cool kids. Got all tiny-dog-seeing-their-human-after-hours-away excited, minus the piddling. So many posted comments that could have been avoided. I'm going to go sit on my hands for a few days until the honeymoon is over.

I like butterscotch. Always have. That said, I think I met my match: Butterscotch Beer I just... hoo boy. 'Nuff said.

Some days I truly wish I had the focus and drive of someone like Michael Surbrook from @surbrookpress.bsky.social because keeping on task is, for me, like staring at drying paint while I can hear fat cavorting shiny squirrels in the front yard. #TTRPG work isn't as easy as people think.

I've been writing on three projects at once, hoping to avoid burnout by being able to switch from one topic to another. Setting books for a #TTRPG are relatively simple, until they aren't.

There once was a man from the Midwest Who had a big heart in his chest Every day he was tested Hurt, but not bested Which let him help others sans rest Well, maybe the occasional catnap.

In my years playing #TTRPG I have had some truly bizarre ideas, ones that have lovingly crafted WTF faces on other players and GMs. It's like an obsession. My current favorite game system is P&PUE, and it's narrative enough to allow for my more bizarre character ideas to be realized. Bliss!

Just took a wander through Bluesky, found some fascinating people with some amazing ideas, made two dumb comments in response to a lovely person's posts, and am currently awaiting my summary social judgment. I do so love places where people are this wonderful.
