Just replayed Metal Gear Solid, Sons of Liberty, and Snake Eater. Gameplay holds up, but I quit Sons of Liberty because it turns out even twenty+ years later Raiden is hella annoying. I also skipped many the Snake Eater cut scenes because holy crap it was cringy.

Last week, for my 44th birthday, my amazing wife got me a sushi making kit. These three rolls were my first attempt. Two days later I tried again, and those five rolls are *not* immortalized in my camera roll. I think I’m about to hurl sushi conventions out the window and get weird with ingredients.

We put up the tree tonight. I had only intended to assemble it between loads of work laundry, but I realized during assembly is the best time to add lights, and once the lights were on it seemed a shame to leave the tree bare. Now it is covered in child-made ornaments and sits happily in the corner.

I can’t see the appeal of a cruise. In fairness, I’ve never been on a cruise ship, but I can’t imagine packing myself into a tiny cabin on a self contained ecosystem that has the potential for catastrophic disaster from which I cannot escape.
