Today's Times confirms that Trump's state visit to the UK has been rushed forward to this Sept. Zoe Gardner, Stop Trump Coalition: "To hear, this week of all weeks, that the govt is pushing forward on Trump’s state visit smacks of desperation and a total lack of understanding of the public mood."

A state visit doesn't just mean that Trump comes to the UK for talks or whatever. It means a literal parade in his honour. It means a banquet with the royals. It is one of the highest honours we have to give. After what we saw yesterday, it must not be allowed to happen.
