Scotland generates far more clean electricity than it uses - a massive surplus from wind, hydro & other renewables. In 2023 we EXPORTED £1.5 BILLION worth to the UK National Grid enough electricity to power millions beyond our own population yet we have some of the highest energy bills in Europe.
