In my 20s I had a hysterectomy & a severe post op complication. It took four trips to the ER before anyone believed me. A second surgery & a month long hospital stay. The bill? $0. It was a horrible experience, but because I’m in Canada it didn’t bankrupt me. Healthcare should be a human right.
