Getting Started

I think the best skill I learned from my training is the ability to write my choices in water. It's very easy to get married to the very first choice I make as an actor, but sometimes, it's not the right one, for any number of reasons; be ready to experiment. It's not something to fear.

Coming to realize I don't think I actually like fantasy so much as the idea of impractical robes.

Me on the second round of script edits: gonna rewrite this whole section to make it flow better. So glad I went back through this. . Me on the twentieth round of edits: one less 'the' in this sentence will really help things flow better. So glad I went back through this.

One of my goals is to make art that leaves people feeling more connected to others. A little more hope. A little more drive. Who knows

When it comes to creative work, it's easy to overthink it, and it doesn't help to remember that it's easy to overthink it.

I have yet to be impressed by any project that closed their open audition window early.

85% of acting is sinking all of my heart into every audition, showing my colleagues for immediate feedback on how to improve, and then refusing to ever think about that audition ever again. Makes it a little surprise any time I DO hear back from something.
