What do you call the actions of a state that's destroyed another people's hospitals, blocked all food and water reaching them, and is now denying entry to foreign doctors to treat the sick, wounded and starving? Is it a war? Is it eliminating terrorists? Or is it genocide?

Netanyahu and his foreign minister, Gideon Saar, suggest criticism by western leaders of policies currently starving 14,000 babies to death in Gaza is behind the fatal shootings of two Israeli embassy staff in Washington. It's "antisemitic" to talk about those babies, it seems.

Western capitals are still coordinating with Israel and the US on their sudden 'criticisms' of the genocide – just as they coordinated on their support for the slaughter. Read my latest here: www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/uk-i...

Yes, BBC. It's been genuinely heroic the way Starmer and Lammy have hidden their anger towards Israel so completely until today – 19 months into the slaughter and starvation of Gaza's children.

You have till tomorrow to cast your vote for Amnesty's People Choice award for journalists who have promoted human rights. I'm up against the big guns of the BBC and Guardian. Many thanks to Daniel Fooks for this portrait of me. Vote at this link: www.amnesty.org.uk/cast-your-vote

If you think Starmer, Macron and Carney are serious about taking 'further concrete actions' to halt Israel's genocide in Gaza, think again. They haven't even the courage to take the easiest step of all: banning Israel from the Eurovision Song Contest.

It's been 19 months of Israel levelling all of Gaza's homes, destroying all its hospitals, and slaughtering and starving 1 million children. But only this week have the UK, France and Canada concluded: "The level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable." Bravo!

Netanyahu says he'll allow the very meagrest rations into Gaza to buy time from the West to slaughter more children. Even more extraordinary is that western leaders are fine with him boasting about how readily he can buy their consent to genocide. www.dropsitenews.com/p/netanyahu-...

Was there another time in history when a bunch of genocidal racists got to lecture everyone else about what counts as racism?

The media claims Gary Lineker has been pushed out after a "backlash" – as though you and I want him gone. No. Britain's genocide-supporting media manufactured the "backlash" it now cites as grounds for his departure.

As Israel unveils its final genocide push, and mass death from starvation looms in Gaza, western media and politicians are tentatively starting to speak up. My latest article explains why: www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/gaza...

Why the wall of silence on the Gaza genocide is finally starting to crack. Read my latest here: www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/gaza...

There was no excuse for the BBC to follow Israel in treating the head of UNRWA as though he is aligned with terrorism. This kind of craven journalism just makes Israel's job of genocide easier. My latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/jeremy-bow...

The quality and quantity of @jonathan-cook.bsky.social's journalism on Gaza, and much else, have been staggering. While other journalists on the list have, of course, spared their 'mainstream' employers and hosts, Jonathan has forensically excoriated the Guardian, the BBC and others. Vote JC! 👏👏

It's not often I share BBC News content on a positive note. But this video report on famine in Gaza is rightly distressing. It's an indication that the dam is starting to crack – 19 long months too late. Watch here: www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

Yes, you really did hear senior BBC reporter Lucy Williamson report that US-Israeli dual citizen Edan Alexander, released by Hamas today, had originally been "kidnapped as a soldier". No, Lucy. Civilians are kidnapped. Soldiers are captured.

Louis Theroux's film on Israel's violent settlers was a mirror. Resist the calls to look away. Matthew Alford reads my latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/listen-the...

For once, the BBC aired a documentary showing Israeli society's dark underbelly. The backlash is not because Louis Theroux got it wrong. It's because his film tells us far too much about ourselves. My latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/therouxs-f...

Many thanks to Daniel Fooks for this wonderful portrait, promoting me for Amnesty UK's first-ever People's Choice media award. You can vote here: amnesty.org.uk/cast-your-vote Check out Daniel's other amazing work: www.facebook.com/danielfooks

I just voted for @jonathan-cook.bsky.social for his tireless journalism about the forced displacement and genocide being committed against the Palestinian people. Please vote if this matters to you.

David Edwards explains why struggles to improve the world so often produce more heat than light. We need to look deeply inwards – and transform ourselves – before we try to transform the world around us. His two-part essay can be read here: www.medialens.org/2025/resist-...

What’s the point of the BBC having a Verify service – supposedly there to fact-check and ensure viewers get only the unvarnished truth – when its team are themselves peddling gross distortions of the truth? Matthew Alford reads my latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/listen-sta...

I’m up against the biggest names in journalism for the Amnesty People’s Choice Award. You get to vote on whose journalism has most promoted human rights over the past year – a year in which the media still refuses to name Gaza as a genocide. You can vote here: amnesty.org.uk/cast-your-vote

The BBC's role is not to keep viewers informed. It's to persuade them that Gaza's starvation by Israel – a clear crime against humanity – is, in fact, highly complicated geopolitics they cannot hope to understand. Read my latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/starvation...

Simply astonishing. We've had 19 months of Israeli government ministers and military commanders telling us they are destroying Gaza. They've destroyed Gaza. And yet western politicians and media still refuse to call it a genocide. Watch Israel's lips: IT'S A GENOCIDE.

Douglas Murray claimed on Joe Rogan he was an expert. But as Nathan Robinson shows, Murray's book on Israel-Palestine is littered with basic errors and falsehoods. Why? Because Murray regurgitates talking points fed him by the Israeli army. More here: www.currentaffairs.org/news/douglas...

‘Acclaimed' public figures like Simon Shama and Simon Sebag Montefiore keep shilling for Israel's genocide. They need to be shamed. My latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/acclaimed-...

Here is my expert statement submitted to Home Secretary Yvette Cooper as part of Hamas' legal appeal against its proscription as a terror group under UK law: jonathancook.substack.com/p/report-on-...

Astonishingly, given that more journalists have been killed by Israel in Gaza than in all other major wars of the past 100 years combined, Israel still ranks 112 out of 180 in the Press Freedom Index. Maybe the index doesn't count murdered journalists – when they're Palestinian.

Why I wrote an expert report against the UK classing Hamas as a terror group. My latest article: www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/why-...

The Trump administration says it needs to deport anti-genocide protesters like Mohsen Mahdawi because they are an obstacle to its "Middle East policy". So there you have it from the horse's mouth. It is US policy in the Middle East to promote the Gaza genocide.

The drip-drip of slanted Gaza reporting by the western media erodes our sense of right and wrong, fact and fiction, victim and oppressor. My last article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/the-drip-d...

How is the media still getting the Gaza murdered paramedics story so wrong? My latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/how-is-the...

The Board of Deputies is investigating 36 members – one in eight of the Board – who signed a letter condemning Israel for slaughtering 10,000s of civilians in Gaza. So now even the body claiming to represent British Jews is smearing its own members as Jew haters for criticising Israel.

Once again the UK state broadcaster goes missing in action – this time at the discovery of a mass grave of emergency workers executed by Israel. My latest article: www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/grav...

Video obtained by the NYT confirms Israeli soldiers executed 15 paramedics and emergency workers in cold blood, and its story that the vehicles were ‘advancing suspiciously’ without flashing lights was a lie. Who knew? States committing genocide lie. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/04/w...

New research shows Israel's slaughter in Gaza has killed more journalists than the US Civil War, World Wars 1 and 2, the Korean War, the Vietnam war, the Yugoslav Wars, the Afghanistan War and the Ukraine War COMBINED. More: watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/p...

The moment masked ICE agents abducted Tufts grad student and anti-war activist Rumeysa Ozturk in Somerville, Massachusetts. I guess they didn't have CCTV in early Nazi Germany, so this all looks new to us. It isn't.

For shame! The Society of Editors gives the BBC's Jeremy Bowen an award for being excluded from Gaza for 18 months – and barely protesting the fact till now – while Israel has murdered more than 200 Palestinian journalists in Gaza. They're doing 'fantastic work', says Bowen.

The left and right take the same reality-based view of the world but respond to it in different moral terms. Liberals, on the other hand, live in an alternate universe – of pure make-believe. My latest article: jonathancook.substack.com/p/the-comple...

Israel has justified bombing a Gaza hospital because an injured Hamas politician was there. The laws of war only ever seem to be forgotten when it is Israel violating them. Read my latest article here: jonathancook.substack.com/p/would-it-b...

Sympathy for Israeli former captive Eli Sharabi must not obscure the bigger picture: he has allowed himself to be recruited at the United Nations to Israel's propaganda campaign for genocide. Matthew Alford reads my latest: jonathancook.substack.com/p/listen-whe...

This was the truly shameful moment when an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor was dragged in for interrogation by the Met police because he attended an anti-genocide rally. Genuinely, what have we become?

Forget 'eliminating' Hamas. Israel's goal is to eliminate Gaza's hospitals, like the Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital it's just blown up. Why? Because Israel knows that, once there are no health services, it will be easier to implement its long-standing plan to drive the people of Gaza out.

The US and Israel have been unsuccessfully bullying Egypt since 2007 to let Israel ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza into Sinai. But 18 months of genocide, it seems, may have achieved a breakthrough. More on Israel's longstanding Sinai plan here: www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/isra...

'Where was the UN and Red Cross?' asks freed Israeli captive. Their staff were busy being killed. Sympathy for Eli Sharabi must not obscure the bigger picture: he has allowed himself to be recruited to Israel's propaganda campaign for genocide. My latest: jonathancook.substack.com/p/where-was-...

Never forget the Guardian is part of the corporate infotainment industry. It's there to make liberal readers feel represented, while pushing on them docility-inducing pap.
