On the left, my image. On the right, the Al image that was clearly trained on, and designed to plagiarize, my image. All Al generated imagery is inherently theft. It's unethical, environmentally disastrous, and does irreparable harm to both artists and society.

The swarm of unserious “copyright is bad” replyguys on social media has pushed me FULLY the other way. Copyright is incredible. We don’t live in a social utopia and I don’t think we ever will- copyright can be improved, but I LOVE that we have laws that protect people who actually make stuff

On Hideo Kojima’s strange, anxious, grief-stricken science fiction game, which contemplates how our digital interactions are no substitute for the stuff of physical existence — and risk hollowing out both ourselves, and our communities: www.theatlantic.com/technology/a...

progress pics of my old Enterprise-D painting

This image is now absolutely everywhere over European media lmao

Today in Mojo History—32 years ago today: Day of the Tentacle released.

Human artists?? Use one piece to convince people to follow you

I will be closely monitoring how Gunn promotes Superman (“I don’t want to get political about it”) vs how Pascal promotes Fantastic Four (“JK Rowling is a heinous loser”)

really starting to enjoy using Darktable, the open-source Lightroom alternative for photo editing. ☺️

I put together a little trailer for our Steam store page. The project is basically done at this point and I'm super stoked to finally release it soon! store.steampowered.com/app/3775050/... #b3d #godotengine #gamedev

stop saying “this looks like it was made by AI” or “was this written by chatgpt?!” when you don’t like something. devaluing human effort like that sucks. I don’t care if it’s bad cgi or a formulaic script. if it’s made by a human you show it some fucking respect and just say it’s dogshit.

🎨 I’m a veteran game artist open for new work. I’ve been illustrating, directing, animating, and designing since 2000 -not just pixel art (though I love it). Clients include Minecraft, WB’s Space Jam, Unity and Rami Ismail. If you need visual worldbuilding, I’m your person. DMs open, email in bio

Is this horse 3D? Or painted frame by frame? No, it's Moho bones, vectors and brushes in the talented hands of Phil Borst! "This was painted directly in Moho using the default brushes, with a super simple rig. Still lots to learn, but Moho is such a fun tool" #mohoanimation #animation #2danimation

my sketchbook is almost full & I wonder if people would be interested by a printed version of these roughly 150 pages of inks

here’s my LucasArts tribute loop, which I’ve slowly been adding characters to for some years:

There’s a heartbreaking truth to this. As @charalanahzard.bsky.social says at least 10x a day: publicly traded companies don’t work for developers or players, they work for the markets. And the markets are consistently, objectively and repeatedly stupid.

Take a minute to appreciate the absolutely immaculate background artwork from WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT.

I still think this is a strong contender for the funniest video ever uploaded. Absolutely unbeatable comedic rhythm

trying to figure out darktable as a lightroom alternative.. i have no idea what i'm doing, but it's the free one I'm the closest to understanding.. anyway, here's a picture of my backyard.

playing Tears of the Kingdom again on Switch 2 and I’d forgotten how much fun it is. Putting a steering stick on things feels like magic.

"Lego Island" has a web port now! isle.pizza

I've been making video games in some form for 20 years, so I wrote an article about my process - and why I don't use an engine. noelberry.ca/posts/making...

After 2 months of work, the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 video is here. I interviewed most of the game's senior leadership team asking one simple question: how did you do this? Their answers were inspiring and moving, and it's no surprise that COE33 is as remarkable as it is: youtu.be/mXLOLgC2V2Q?...

gonna call this one done, I think 🤞

I know I should establish roughly where all the goals are but frankly I'm enjoying driving on the pipes too much
