Law enforcement officers should never cover their faces when making arrests or conceal their identities (unless they are working undercover). They work for us. We have a right to know who they are. These face coverings are frightening & unAmerican, as though they're ashamed of what they're doing.

Republicans are smart enough to never acknowledge when Democrats meet them half way either. So Republican voters will never give Dems any credit for it at the ballot box. And the Democratic Party keeps capitulating over and over it expecting a different result 🤡

I wrote about this in my newsletter but the idea that Bluesky has a uniquely hostile culture does not ring true to me. Twitter’s culture, especially at its peak, was so hostile that it lit people’s entire lives on fire if they tweeted something nice about their day that upset the wrong person

One of the joys of my military career was a chance to do a “staff ride” of Normandy shortly after we got back from our year in Iraq. A dozen of us got a German bus and went over for a four day tour of the beaches and the other areas troops took in that initial wave.
