I'm just glad one of these men has the nuclear codes and the other has all our personal data.

BREAKING: The U.S. government says 247,000 people applied for unemployment benefits last week, the most in eight months. apnews.com/article/unem...

We only rate dogs. This is Chewbacca having a spa day. He's trying to relax. Please give him some privacy. 13/10

Mastering a dextrous tool such as an elephant's trunk takes time and Zigi — at only five weeks old — is still very much in the stage of finding his trunk to be simply fascinating! Zigi is one of 76 known wild-born elephant babies. You can read about his birth and mum Zongoloni at: t.co/30rvMSVFg8

Friends! Who wants to see some Lady Cleo action? She has developed and adapted the Back Leg Game to suit her own preferences - i.e. she loves grooming the boys - so she likes to hang onto Baby Dog’s tail and groom it at the same time. She may be a Lady, but she’s a feisty one! 🩷

Chapeyu’s story is a unique one: On 13th February, our SWT/KWS Kulalu Anti-Poaching Team reported a speared elephant. Our plan was to treat him in the field, but as the operation unfolded, his dire injuries forced us to pivot, if he was to survive. Full story: swt.bio/chapeyu

Just your typical morning in Kaluku, hanging out at the mud bath with rescued orphan Twiggy the giraffe, and her feathery side-kicks Bam and Boozle the ostriches! For every orphan in our care, we offer safe haven until they choose to reclaim their place in the wild: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org

From the coastal mangroves of Lamu to the arid savannas of Tsavo, Kenya’s landscapes are as diverse as the wildlife they sustain. These ecosystems are under threat, but with your support, we’re protecting vital corridors, replanting forests, and working with communities to secure these wild places.

Friends! The Magical Attraction of Mr Spider continues and has been inherited by the Kittens. Enjoy #MalcysMindfulMoments as we watch Percy enjoying Mr Spider, who is now a bit battered, but still very popular. It’s quite soothing to watch and listen to! Sound up! ❤️

😡😡😡😡

Ever elusive, leopards are in fact the most common of Africa’s big cats. Known for their stealth and grace, it’s a delight to see in its natural habitat. Our teams deploy everyday to secure wild spaces, so that leopards, lions, cheetahs, servals, wild cats and more have a place to call home.

Lenny is fast out of the blocks when he realises the herd is heading for its midday milk feed. Funny thing is, he doesn’t need or get a bottle, he has access to milk ‘on demand’! Month old Baby Zigi, the youngest elephant calf brings up the rear.

Chums! Baby Dog here. Ron and I had an Alarming Moment, when we found PERCY in our Favourite Sofa Spot!! I couldn’t believe it! But don’t worry, I dealt with it very swiftly. Percy didn’t put up a fight like Ron does. He didn’t CLING, if you know what I mean. Hope he doesn’t learn how to do that!

We have a very special elephant to introduce you to! Chapeyu’s story is a unique one. Given his age, he is not a typical new rescue — but he desperately needed our help, and so we moved mountains to save him. We'll share his story later today. Watch this space! sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/orphans

Here are the Top 5 Dogs of May!

Every animal tells a story — and every story starts with a safe, protected home. Whether it’s a buffalo cooling off in a shaded glade, a lion running through rivers, or an elephant browsing the treetops, our conservation work is securing habitats for wildlife. Discover: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org

Friends! Ron likes to sleep Upside Down. Here he is… Upside Down Cat. I thought you should know 🧡 #Ron

How bad will it be? Catastrophic. Proposed cuts to #NSF, #NIH, and #NASA will set the US R&D landscape back 25 yrs+, cause economic and job loss now, and undermine innovations to come. But, this is the WH's *proposed* budget. Speak up now before it is too late. (inflation adjusted $-s below)

Hahaha love it 😀

Mr Cardinal is finding scattered seeds in the grass! 🪶

Here are the Top 5 Dogs of the week!

Quite the shiner that Musk was sporting today; surely Trump could have lent him some make-up?

Friends! We invited Ralphy over for lunch and all us Cats ate together for the first time. It was a big step and we are so glad Ralphy felt relaxed enough to do it, although he did keep one eye on the Kittens! Enjoy the Munching Sounds! And have a lovely #Caturday everyone ❤️

I don’t know how many times we have to say this, but the U.S. government is not a business and shouldn’t be run like one. It’s a service—for the people.

Apparently states’ rights stop the moment women board a plane with autonomy in their carry-on.

Chums! Baby Dog here. We LOVE our new Quilt from Freddie and Rebecca SO MUCH that we thought we’d show you A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR NEW QUILT video. Notice that Malcy likes to sit on MY SQUARE. This Quilt has become like a Clubhouse, giving us all a place to hangout together! How great is that? ❤️

It’s been around since 1983.

Spanning vast, remote, and rugged landscapes, Kenya’s protected areas are impossible to monitor by land alone. That’s where our Aerial Unit comes in. Aerial surveillance allows us to respond faster, cover more ground, and protect more wild lives. This is only possible thanks to your support.

A glimpse into our graduates’ first day in Tsavo! Sholumai, Mushuru, and Sileita graduated from the Nairobi Nursery to our Voi Reintegration Unit. Donor support paved the way for this milestone moment, taking this trio of females a step closer to a life in the wild.

This morning, Pardamat got left behind! He was dawdling around the compound — no doubt snatching leftover food from his friends’ bedrooms — and completely missed the rest of the herd’s heading into the forest. When he finally caught up everyone rushed over to check on their truant friend.

Twelve years ago, Arruba was found alone and distressed: She'd somehow found herself stuck behind a newly erected fence. It's unknown how long she'd been there. Arruba continues to visit us and was recently seen — with her good friends Mudanda and Rorogoi — looking heavily pregnant: swt.bio/arruba

From the brink of survival to leading the herd. When he arrived in our care, Mayan was heartbreakingly fragile. Every day was a battle, and there were moments we feared we might lose him. But through dedicated care and a fierce will to live, he pulled through. #OrphansProject

This is Duncan. He is a professional barkour athlete. Please do not try this at home. 13/10

This is Malak. He was caught on camera busting a hole through the wall. Immediately felt really bad about it, if that helps his case. 12/10

This is Reese. She was offered a chicken nugget, but to eat it she would have to give up her hot sauce toy. Can't believe you're making her choose. 13/10

Friends! Something exciting happened! A parcel arrived for Baby Dog from our gorgeous X friends Freddie and Rebecca! Ron wanted to help open it, but Baby Dog wanted to do it by himself. Look at what was inside!!! It’s stunning and Rebecca made it herself. Baby Dog LOVES it! ❤️

A special poem for #TACOTrump: 🌮

Said it before, I’ll say it again. We shouldn’t privatize NASA. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/27/s...
