The Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces, in an incoherent rambling Memorial Day message of anger and hate, never once thanked those who gave their lives for our country. At no point in his message was a hint of thankfulness for their ultimate sacrifice for us all. This is America in 2025.

Mike Johnson claims that those who don't work but theoretically could and are receiving Medicaid are "defrauding the system." That is a lie. Fraud is a real word with an actual legal definition. Throwing it about like that is knowingly committing slander. He must suffer at the ballot box.

I watched Mike Johnson tell an interviewer today that Republicans only intend to cut off health coverage for people who aren't working. 5 years ago today felt like any other. It was as it always is, my spouse's birthday. It was also Memorial Day in the midst of pandemic. Nothing was particularly noteworthy. Not until local social media started slowly going crazy that night about something very wrong in South Minneapolis.
