I missed this part

Republican political strategist Sarah Longwell joined Marc Elias to discuss the cowardice of so-called moderate Republicans, why Elon Musk is one of the GOP's biggest liabilities and the media landscape. Watch the full conversation:

BREAKING: House Republicans just passed their budget resolution 217-215 that would virtually guarantee deep cuts to Medicaid and food stamps, all to fund a major tax break for the ultrawealthy... and still add trillions to the national debt.

4.5 million views for an outright lie.

If the stakes weren’t so high, the contortions & humiliations of all the people who cheered this in & sneered about ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ etc would be absolutely hilarious.

There’s an established vocabulary for everything from honest critique to abject outrage, and Trump, like others before him, displays such utter depravity that the vocabulary just can’t cope. (There are also, of course, plenty of quislings, traitors & apologists complicit in the depravity.)

The splendid company I was just talking about... www.renskitchen.com

This is really good. Pointing out that Starmer at no point & in no way equated calls for an Inquiry with being ‘far right’ was a very lonely business last week. Here are *all* the receipts.

Will someone, anyone, in our elected government stand up to the hatred, racism and misinformation propounded by Donald Trump and Elon Musk? Britain has not felt so weak and small in my lifetime.

For the next four years, Democrats need to oppose — not simply resist — a second Trump presidency. @marcelias.bsky.social discusses the ideas he believes we should embrace and how it can happen. Watch the full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bChDPqBbbs

Having a lovely little break on the Turkish/Italian border. Back in the studio on Monday. Happy New Year!

Great news.

Wow. Biden has decided to pardon his son Hunter.

She's blond and has a passing resemblance to Ivanka, so she's eminently qualified to do the job 😉

What's the other half compose of......vomit?🤮

Wonder how Republicans are going to spin this statement from Pete Hegseth’s OWN MOTHER. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/29/u...

Project 2025 is based on contempt for constitutional norms and the rule of law, seeking to reshape American government, law and society for a generation. And the U.S. Supreme Court has only made it easier for Trump and his allies to do just that.

I think Starmer would be this way regardless of media double standards re politicians’ behaviour. It’s who he is & the restoration of trust is, for him, a matter of national interest. You have to hope it also crystallises into a real reputation for probity & integrity. But it’s far from guaranteed.

FFS 🙄

On the one hand an MP found to have told the truth about a minor conviction, on the other an MP found to have lied about being locked up for kicking seven bells out of a young woman...

People in a cult don't know they're in a cult, but everyone else can tell.

😂😂😂😂

It's going to be a rough four years

Well, this is a turn-up for the books.

Tim Stanley, in what now appears to be a weekly slot on one or other BBC flagship politics programme, reels off a huge amount of absolute, provable nonsense about immigration. And he does so completely unchallenged. Enough now. ~AA A MEGA-THREAD 🧵1/

Robert Icke’s Oedipus w/ Mark Strong & Lesley Manville is the best theatre I’ve seen this year, & they’re doing an extra matinee on Dec 19 for under-30s, all tix @ £10 - pls do share if you know a young person who might enjoy a bit of incest & murder: www.soniafriedman.com/under-30s?fb...

Ah yes, Democrats committed fraud yet again to the point where [checks notes] Republicans won the House, Senate, and White House. Got it.

This is the election result that Piers said was the Democrats getting "pounded into total, shameful, humiliating oblivion."

It's simply incredible. Just absolutely blew it, her nuclear attack for a major moment. Pissed away with a passing reference to some shit she saw online.

It was good to see the excellent Australian Pink Floyd by kind invitation from Lorelei McBroom who is singing as part of the team. Fun too to be sitting in the Royal Albert Hall where I played so recently!

Kemi Badenoch at #PMQs: "We had a budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards." Here are the tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall in March this year. They were protesting - you really couldn't make this up - Badenoch's trade policies. 😂
