“This vulnerability is going to increase, there's no doubt about it," Jones said. "Until the state's leaders come to grips with that, we are going to continue to see these problems at a greater frequency." - @theswinerepublic.bsky.social www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/2...

Discussing an Iowa Republican spokesperson's published statement that the No Kings protests in Iowa are funded by dark money, one of the founders of Southwest Iowa Indivisible cracked me up. So true. Besides, if we got dark money, I’d drive a lot better car.

Sounds like a bestselling novel about the Rapture

These 7 corporations were allowed to keep tax breaks that they had publicly admitted would likely be found illegal if the IRS had investigated them. Meanwhile, the Trump administration wants to further gut the resource-strapped agency.

Well, I had an interesting Sunday night, how 'bout you?

This International Workers’ Day, U.S. unions demanded El Salvador return Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a SMART union apprentice illegally deported without due process. Attacking immigrant workers is attacking all workers.

The damage Ag chemicals are allowed to do to our Iowa water. Without the attorney General enforcing the lawful consequences. It's shocking!

We went to El Salvador with a congressional delegation demanding the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia who is being illegally imprisoned in violation of a unanimous Supreme Court ruling. This is a constitutional crisis and Donald Trump must release Kilmer now.

I spoke to a South Carolina woman today who is miscarrying - her fetus has no heartbeat - but the state's ban is preventing doctors from taking action. She has to walk around with a dead fetus for another week so she can get a FOURTH ultrasound. This is what bans do.

Humanity won tonight ✔️

Trump is realigning the world—and not in a way that is good for the U.S.

Trump/Musk cut funds, & farmers are paying the price. Sen. Chuck Grassley told a farmer in his district who lost funding from USDA under the federal freeze that he should give it “90 days to see what the result is.” Small farms don't have that kind of time! #Iowa www.politico.com/newsletters/...

Congressman Bill Foster’s town hall is packed 30 minutes before the start! Americans are concerned and looking for leadership in these trying times. Thank you @repbillfoster.bsky.social for being a leader on the issues and holding an in person town hall with your constituents. @indivisible.org

We just wanted to take a moment to thank all our new supporters! Tomorrow, there will be more of us!

Keep telling your stories. Sometimes people do change their minds and are convinced. youtu.be/My5Cut76Yec?...

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law: “It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate. www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2025...

Take a moment today to read about a few of the young children whom Trump and Musk killed by shutting down USAID. The blame for these deaths falls on them. There will be hundreds of thousands more dead kids before their lethal crusade against foreign aid ends. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
