I found a bumblebee on my dining room floor this morning. She couldn’t fly so I put her in a saucer with a little maple syrup and put it outside in the sun. She started eating right away. Her little red tongue! After about half an hour she flew off ❤️🐝

Guys I was sad that the blue tits decided not to nest in my bird box this year but I have discovered that this is because the box now hosts a nest of BUMBLEBEES. It is so joyous to see them bumbling in and out of their home 🐝

I did a mini-tour of independent bookshops in Edinburgh. First stop was the breathtaking Topping & Company, in the most beautiful building. Topping has a wonderful serene atmosphere.
