Even though I'm retired, i like to preserve some of the sense that Friday is special, the beginning of a weekend that is different from the weekdays. Usually, I like to indulge myself a little. So today, I ate a couple of fried eggs.

If the US can arrest a man and send him to El Salvador in the dead of night, surely they can get him back in a few weeks. There is no principle here as far as El Salvador is concerned - they are imprisoning men for us in exchange for money. Surely all we need is more money to get this man home.

As an employee of a life insurance company, I was prohibited from discussing any individual cases via personal telephone or email. I was once pressured to discipline an employee who had emailed herself an outline of a training curriculum, which didn't even contain client information.
