We live in a world where rape is encouraged by: making it taboo, humiliating, or dangerous for victims to speak out; making it nearly impossible to charge or prosecute a man who has raped someone; and keeping the sentences for rape (especially the rape of children) insultingly minimal. Makes me sad.
