I know I keep banging on about my designs but it’s not easy being a small business at the moment. Have a look at my wares and please repost. gailmyerscough.co.uk Thanks!

Sporadic E is something I had to learn to pass my UK Foundation License exam for amateur radio - but I didn’t truly understand it until I read this

This is a fantastic line up if you’ve got kids and want to see some comedy. Perhaps less well known is Darryl Carrington who I’ve seen doing bits at Locally Sourced. He is SO brilliant, I highly recommend his show.

Thank goodness; not *that* Bryan Adam’s single.

The 17yo is finding #totp 1085 almost as mystifying as 1977. Mind you, I’m not quite sure what Charlie Chaplin was doing there either.

Watching #TOTP with the 17 yo and having to do quite a lot of explaining. “No, that’s not an ironic band name, it’s the actual Liverpool football team…”

News | @nationaltrust.org.uk calls for more investment in historic environment – demand follows research that shows how public value their local heritage

Also, I heard a lot of people taking about how hard it is to restart a blast furnace. It takes a long while to establish a community of scholarship as well. You shut universities, or even courses you can't just start them up again next year

Reposting in case anyone knows?

Some brilliant progress being made at Killerton thanks to the @uoearchhist.bsky.social team and @nationaltrust.org.uk HART volunteers! Head to www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/devon/... for information on how to visit or book onto a guided tour of the excavation!

Don’t do this kids. It is a bit hidden in a locked toilet behind a sign reading “Beware of the Leopard” but HMRC are well aware and will come after you as employee as well as the employer www.gov.uk/hmrc-interna...

In happier news, R17 went into HMV yesterday to buy two new posters for her bedroom, which she put up today while listening to her most recent purchase, a CD of Aladdin Sane.

Been using a spreadsheet to label & sort 52 countries by region. Excel decided to help by prepopulating the rest of the "region" column once I'd done 20. In the remaining 32 rows it created 6 new regions (including "Greater South Korea" & "Oceanaland") & put Pakistan into Middle East.

Haven't done a #ProofOfCat recently so here's a version in triplicate to make up for it.

Remembering Eppie Wietzes, who twice drove in his home #F1 GP, the #CanadianGP, in ’67 & ’74, the former in a works Lotus 49 & the latter in this gorgeous ex-works Brabham BT42. #AnorakFact: at Mosport in ’73 he became the first driver of an F1 safety car, a Porsche 914.

As well as international students signing up to study in the US, I assume this will also hit Junior Year Abroad programs, which operate on an exchange basis - US student goes to a European uni, who send one of their students to the US college in return.
