Rory!!!! I have been rooting for this for 10 years. #TheMasters

The other thing I love about this day with @corybooker.com is how much love his colleagues are giving him and how much it's clearly buoying him to see friends and CBC members from the House coming to the floor to support him. You give love you get love. It's just so Cory ❤️

I have always been proud to be part of @corybooker.com's team but today may be the proudest I've ever been. This shot of hope and fight straight into my bloodstream is EXACTLY what I needed (and is exactly what makes Cory so friggin' special).

Seeing Rumeysa Ozturk snatched off the street by masked thugs evoked the actions of so many tyrannies: The Basij is Iran, Mukhabarat in Egypt or Syria, Mano Blanca in Guatemala & El Salvador, FRAPH in Haiti. They're practicing on foreigners, they'll move onto citizens soon enough.

Remember last time Trump was president and unmarked vans swept up people off the street and he tried to get the military to use force against protesters? If you think the administration's vindictive defiance will stop with immigrants, you're naive. Gift link: wapo.st/43Ssl2Q

This is the law “best known for its role in Japanese internment” per the Brennan Center. It just gets worse and worse, day by day.

The Department of Government Efficiency isn't interested in efficiency. Or transparency, or cutting costs. It's real goal is to destroy the federal civil service. In other words, regime change. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

I feel like I’m standing in the middle of a freeway, screaming that a truck is barreling toward us, while everyone around me nods thoughtfully, asks if I’ve considered being less alarmist, and wonders aloud whether the truck has some valid economic anxieties.

Incredibly well-written article by @anneapplebaum.bsky.social. This is a gift link - please read it to understand what is really going on with/for/to federal employees. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

This is a private company taking over a federal agency, with no authority to do so. Why does anyone think their rights are being protected? “Two top security officials at the independent agency were removed after they refused access to” Musk employees. This is gone past “unprecedented.”

The only two groups that I've seen who deeply understand the spiritual peril we are in: Black women and Jewish women. I'm talking about feeling it in the cells, our bones. Like, making emergency exit plans. I'm not trying to be hyperbolic, just saying the truth.

It is *very* important to understand that Jews were never the only target of the 1930s Nazis and they are not the only targets of today’s Nazis. A Nazi salute is not only antisemitic. It is also racist, ableist, and queerphobic.

Posting so I can find it again - this is one of my favorite things all year!

There IS a left-wing agenda, and it’s to prioritize compassion over greed. Kindness isn't a limited resource.

Reposting so I can find it later. I've read about half of these so can confirm this list is legit!

Let's get some joy going. Tell me some good things that happened this year I'll start: I saw #taylorswift in London and got a puppy! And actually had a great time at my 25th college reunion despite my social anxiety. Wins!

I haven't been active here in quite a while but figured it's a good time to reengage somewhere that doesn't serve our tech overlords. Trying to find my people here. I'm into music, travel, feminine rage, saving Democracy, compassion, romance novels, and dogs.
