After two weeks of struggle, my beautiful mom left us today. We were all there with her. She loved to run to the country school (5km) when young so I had to stop on a country road and run as hard as I could. She was loving, hard working, kind and brilliant. ❤️🌻

My mom has dementia. She, along with numerous others, became very ill with flu like illness on Saturday. It’s not Covid or flu. Mom is struggling to breath. They have her on oxygen, but couldn’t do an X-ray because it was the weekend. AHS was supposed to do one today. But nope. We wait for them.

I’ve got to admit, I too think of leaving Alberta. But I can’t and feel like I’ve got to be part of the resistance that leads to change. Problems exist all over. I sure tire of those who mock Albertans and want to hurt us. It’s certainly not helpful and it’s certainly not a team Canada attitude.
