"Here we are once again confronted by a central truth about the people who lead these anti-trans campaigns in sports, which is that although they are first and foremost hateful bigots, they are also huge fucking losers." defector.com/its-a-great-...

This is so fucking appalling

Trump just nominated Paul Ingrassia to run the Office of Special Counsel. Ingrassia is a former far-right podcast host and election denier who once shared an article calling for “martial law” to keep Donald Trump in office following his loss in the 2020 election. He's 29.

New York has a higher per-capita income, a lower crime rate and a functional insurance system.

They really are the whiniest bunch. And it’s actually diagnostically relevant, if we want to understand their political project: A movement of people who feel victimized by a society they believe owes them constant adulation and deference, whose self-pity inevitably turns to authoritarian cruelty.

Heard this happened yesterday as well. It's completely unacceptable. By law, the courts are open to the public and the media.

SCOOP: The State Department's new reorganization plan includes the opening of an "Office for Remigration," a term popularized by far right extremists and neo-Nazis in Europe. The office will coordinate directly with DHS "to advance the President’s immigration agenda." My report:

Republicans can only lose 3 Senate votes on Trump's Big Ugly Bill — and these senators are the most vulnerable in 2026: -Collins (ME) -Tillis (NC) -Sullivan (AK) -Husted (OH) -Moody (FL) -Cornyn (TX) -Ernst (IA) If they represent you, tell them to vote NO.  (202) 224-3121

For 40 years, Americans have lived shorter lives than people in other rich countries. For 10 years, that's been rapidly getting worse. New research: in 2022-2023, there were 1.5 million "missing Americans," who died--but wouldn't have, if America didn't have such uniquely high death rates.

The government is literally in the hands of people with untreated trauma from being incredibly unlikeable.

Yep. It’s all horrifying.

Yes! AI is a labor issue, and it's coming for all of us...much faster than I had even imagined.

I had so much fun talking to @reckless.bsky.social about how private equity is killing the American dream. For everyone who isn't quite sure how VC and PE are different, or who suspects PE running hospitals might be bad, this one is for you!

hes so weak and fragile #TACO

I keep telling you, these people fundamentally dislike the country.

Look at these idiots.

This piece takes Musk's putative pov at face value, assuming that his disillusionment" and inability to "upend bureaucracy" (whatever the that means)was a worthy mission that failed because of "obstacles" rather than recognizing DOGE was a disaster from the outset. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/28/u...

Jesus

The monoculture isn’t what it used to be, but I can only imagine how freaked out the suits would have been a few years ago by OKC vs Indy. All my love for the small market teams!!!

I just got blocked by a guy for saying it’s okay to punch Nazis. What is this world coming to?

I hate the palace intrigue reporting usually but I do not hate this.

I read the Surgeon General nominee's book so you don't have to, and it's hot fucking trash, and I wrote about it! buttondown.com/theswordandt...

“I voted for Donald Trump, and so did practically everyone here,” said Vanessa Cowart, a friend of Ms. Hui from church. “But no one voted to deport moms. We were all under the impression we were just getting rid of the gangs, the people who came here in droves.” She paused. “This is Carol.”

Ohio State has over three thousand at the moment, representing around 6% of the student body. Congrats to all the American families who will get to pick up the tab now.

Facebook keeps trying to get me to join a group called Dorm Room Mamas 😒

Whitmer kidnap plotters were represented by counsel, given due process, and convicted by a jury unanimously beyond a reasonable doubt. A pardon would reward political violence. www.freep.com/story/news/p...

Trying to kill us.

An absolute titan of literature who should have won the Nobel.
