How many more examples before people understand that transphobia is violence

Bit weird to see so many US politicians "praying hard" in response to the horrific actions of an extremist Christian terrorist.

this but it's just my eyes trying to chase text around an online article where more ads keep popping in and changing above and around the article scooting the text all over

Heh. Misplaced Childhood - the album played as if one continuous performance iirc. Loved it 🤠 #totp

1985 was a pretty good year #totp - such a relief after the disaster of 1998!

Heh. Joining #totp on here for the first time - suspect I've not picked the best week for it :/ All a bit mid so far.

For anyone who doesn't know "Article 8" is the European Convention on Human Rights right to a private life This is the head of the EHRC saying that she does not believe that *anyone* has the right to privacy when it comes to being trans or cis Brazenly immoral, legally untrue

[LLMs are] "a complex, heuristics-based black box search engine designed to constantly please the final user with some sort of captivating result. They don't "know" anything, have no reasoning or deduction capabilities, and certainly they have no intelligence [...]" www.techspot.com/news/108248-...

Its basically like the scientologists are running the world in this field.

Surely it could replace politicians and executives first? Their jobs are mostly rhetoric, which is something the LLMs can easily generate in volume.

These are con-artists. And I feel like I'm going crazy because so few people recognize them when it used to be a very common skill most people had!

Photo taken by Michael Collins in 1969. Inside the lunar module are Armstrong and Aldrin. In the distance is Earth carrying the rest of all human beings. So all of mankind is in this picture except for Michael Collins.

The big question, then, is what do we do, to adapt to the current reality? Ideally, large news organisations that feed most of the population would provide validated considered information, and sensible debate where appropriate. Unfortunately they're not incentivised to do any such thing.

The conditions that have led to what’s happening in the US today exist in democracies around the world. They are an inevitable outcome of our collective failure to adapt to fundamental changes in the information ecosystem on which our democracies were originally built.

This is an egregious example of "balance" without fairness. Judge McCloud's complaint is covered in 10 paragraphs and Forstater's lies are given 10 paragraphs. You will find no similar "balance" when Sex Matters is covered uncritically for their shenanigans. Usually, not a trans voice at all!

And suggesting the court talking to Amnesty is more than enough, no need to talk to "trans activists" (the court denied all representation from trans people). The use of that term is regurgitation of hate group rhetoric. The reporting is straight-up mouthpiece for the "Sex Matters" hate campaign.

A mother fox and her cub playing in the back garden right now

"Climate experts believe AI could help the fight against global heating by making power grids work more efficiently or accelerating the development of new zero-carbon technologies." Not by building 3.7 billion kWh/yr (?) energy burners it won't!

"Roll-over UK". So much Brexit winning.

Been in Brussels to talk to diplomats, biz reps. Intense nervousness about Trump. EU striking position between "roll over UK and retaliatory China'. But prepared for all out trade war. If it doesn't world's trade system is over. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/j...

"He basically rotted his own brain by compulsively using ChatGPT in lieu of actually thinking with most any of the projects he was working on." infosec.exchange/@dvandal/114...

And, as I too have said before: all their shit becomes internally consistent (if still fundamentally incorrect) if you start from the position that trans people magically popped into existence sometime in the mid-2010s. i.e. whenever that particular TERF first heard about us.

Having stopped watching broadcast TV for years (for no particular reason) the #totp rerun thing I see regularly on here has the potential to lure me back 🤠

please don't make a trans league for any sport ever. what the fuck is wrong with our allies dawg

We have so, so many receipts of shit like this. My US sales for THE SCOTTISH BOY were also understated by a factor of 5, causing me to be underpaid around £12,000 in royalties

The only "opportunities" offered by use of stochastic parrots are to increase miscarriages of justice and waste court time and costs.

An extraordinary ruling at the High Court today revealed that cases have been featuring non-existent citations and made-up quotes because of the use of AI Lawyers were warned they could be prosecuted or banned from practicing for using false AI-generated material www.nytimes.com/2025/06/06/w...

Marty’s photo of the day #4736: I got up early this morning to photograph birds. I was watching a quiet pond, when all of a sudden this family of Canada geese pushed through the reeds. So cute! (Photographed in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana) #photography #birds #Montana #nature

Reminded yet again that people like this commissioner believe trans people are deluded or making it up. That's how they justify their own bigoted behaviour to themselves. They cannot tolerate the idea that some people's existence is different to their own. Was the same with Section 28.

worms do it better is all i'm saying www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn3x...

I hate to break this to you, but the masculine equivalent of ‘gyno’ is ‘andro’ What you’ve said there is something… rather different
