Trump is in the process of destroying our justice system, Harvard, CBS News, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the careers of countless scientists, and many other things that make America great. If we don't stop him, he’ll eventually get around to you.

We’re honestly on a fast timeline to exactly this.

Canada welcomes the U.S. Court of International Trade’s decision on the United States’ tariffs. It confirmed what we’ve always held: that the American tariffs against Canadian goods are unlawful and unjustified.

They are building a wooden dome in #canada!

Correction: Rafi, in your post you incorrectly used "your". He was speaking as the King of Canada and the use of "your" would imply otherwise. He said "As the anthem reminds us: The True North is indeed strong and free!"

Prime Minister Mark Carney said during an interview with David Cochrane on Tuesday that he’s been having conversations with major European partners about Canada being part of a build-out of their defence industrial base. Carney said he wants to see ‘something concrete there’ by Canada Day.

BRAVO. CMA object to the moral & ethical injury Pr Smith‘s ideological bill has inflicted on MDs: “file a constitutional challenge Wednesday alongside three Alberta doctors against the province’s legislation that limits access to medical treatment for www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic...

No means no

I wonder how much Canada's National Post (American owned) pays MSN to have a lead headline on the browser page allowing them to tarnish Mark Carney on a daily basis. Sick! It's easy to skip opening the link however. Right-wing extremism ever present. Battle River-Crowfoot, BEWARE. Do NOT vote PP

This could be true.

I am encouraged by PM Carney's ambitious programs. Interestingly, I got a further understanding of what is required to move things along faster & removing so many barriers by reading a recent article describing USA CHIPS Act: A Playbook for Industrial Policy www.foreignaffairs.com/united-state...

@sundaedivine.bsky.social Saying he has an IQ is an exaggeration.

“Canada wins when crooked, disinformation-spewing politicians like Pierre Poilievre lose. The Conservatives should be embracing a more likeable party leader in favour of national unity. Instead, they’re choosing to double-down on rage-bait and division.”

The King of England is arriving in Canada to give the first speech to Parliament in 50 years. The purpose of the visit is to say fuck you Trump and tell the world that the UK has Canada's back. Great prelude to the G7 in Alberta. www.bbc.com/news/article...

It pains me to say this, but if you are not a US citizen, you should not attend scientific conferences in the US, visit US institutions, or otherwise travel to our country. Right now it's not worth the risk. Hopefully that will change. If it doesn't, science in the US is sunk anyway.

And yet he'll now seek election in Battle River-Crowfoot (a 81% conservative leaning district) but as a parachute candidate. Generally people don't appreciate parachute candidates especially if they equate to a value of a straw bale.

Hi there voters in Battle River Crowfoot, In the upcoming byelection, why not take a sensible chance and vote for a strong candidate instead of voting for the parachute? Otherwise, voting PP is equivalent to voting for a straw bale. Just sayin ...

Good question.

I can think of no example of when making nice with or being bipartisan with fascism has resulted in victory for democracy or democratic principles. The nature of fascism is bullying and dominion. It can and will never be satisfied with sharing power. That’s why it must always be roundly defeated

The perimeter of a baseball strike zone is composed of 4 corners and for edges, right? Then why do the @torontobluejays.bsky.social tv announcers call every pitch that touches the perimeter as touching a corner?

Please Battle River - Crowfoot, do the right thing. For the sake of the future of our country, do NOT vote PP - Conservative. The Harper IDU plan is extreme right-wing, just like MAGA. Send PP packing, for good.

If Trump really cared about where things were made Melania would’ve had to marry a guy from Slovenia.

@mark-carney.bsky.social ?????

It’s time for PM ⁦‪Carney‬⁩ & Min Anand to take action - the time for demanding investigations, as a response, passed after Israeli military’s bombs hit part of our embassy in Lebanon. www.theglobeandmail.com/world/articl...

I gotta think there is a judge out there who would gladly enjoin Donald Trump's arbitrary and capricious behavior today towards America's Oldest University.

You go, girl.

Agree, trust is over, globally - except for Russia. And how will you regain whatever? What do Americans have to do when their great experiment is over? Will you still have free and fair elections? Can you count on 2026 mid-terms switching power?

1/2 From Bloomberg today "Donald Trump’s haranguing of Cyril Ramaphosa at the Oval Office wasn’t wholly unexpected" Of course not. Trump's 'America First is really America Only' He & his cult leaders have NO respect for anyone. Putin must love watching these (his) puppets dangle.

Did the GOP (elected & appointed) skip the civics and science classes?

I like this point. And maybe, other cabinet members should not wait to clarify what each ministry is planning for this new world economy with Canada helping lead the way globally & thereby drowning out the CPC with their old, whining positions. It's a new world; it's a new day, Canada. Elbows up!

1/2 That CPC has money & right-wing extremist $ backing. They can afford 74. Besides it keeps the elected-members happy. If we are patient, PM Mark & company will bring forth intelligent sound policies for this new economic world. The CPC wants to imitate the USA and return to the past.

1/2 More from Juzel Lloyd (Foreign Affairs April 28, 2025): Developing nations may nonetheless decide to source nuclear energy technologies from China and Russia. But they need to be able to make a real choice. The United States and its allies still have a chance to counterbalance China’s and
