With 3 min 52 sec remaining, Mark Daigneault called timeout and made the adjustment that won the Thunder Game 4. Nembhard had been guarding SGA extremely well. Thunder used the same action 3x to get Nesmith to switch, Shai kept scoring/getting the foul call.

Number of ball screens that SGA & Jalen Williams set for each other... Game 1: 1 Game 2: 2 Game 3: 0 Game 4: 9 (including 7 in the 4th quarter) The 9 is tied for the most screens they've set for each other in their 3 years together. via Second Spectrum

The Lakers will once again play in the California Classic Summer League: 🏀 July 5: vs. Warriors 🏀 July 6: vs. Heat 🏀 July 8: vs. Spurs

The newest music I was listening to this past weekend:

It's been a MINUTE but this is the new-ish music I've been listening to:

END OF 1Q: Rockets 19, Lakers 16. A combined 28% (14-50) from LAL (6-25) and HOU (8-25). Combined 20% on 3s (5-25). Game is very much in the mud early.

Here's the last 40 seconds of Bulls/Lakers. Insane ending.

The wild game-ending sequence to Lakers-Bulls that ended with a Josh Giddey buzzer-beating halfcourt shot:

JJ Redick on what Jordan Goodwin has meant to the Lakers after the team converted his two-way contract into a standard NBA deal:

LeBron James scored his eighth game-winning basket of his career tonight against the Pacers, per the Lakers. He joins Michael Jordan (9), Kobe Bryant (8) and Joe Johnson (8) as the only players in NBA history to record eight or more career buzzer-beaters: www.ocregister.com/2025/03/26/l...

JJ Redick said there was too much "unorganization" during the 2Q/3Q in Saturday's loss to the Celtics. He took accountability for things getting lost in translation. His response when asked how he views offensive organization and how he judges whether the Lakers are organized:

Memphis is moving differently this season, thanks to an offense that is “radical in its simplicity,” borrowed from a DIII school in Maine www.cbssports.com/nba/news/the...

The Lakers will be without LeBron James (left groin strained), Rui Hachimura (left patellar tendinopathy), Jaxson Hayes (right knee contusion) and Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle soreness). That's their starting frontcourt and a key reserve in DFS. Luka Doncic (back soreness) remains questionable.

Twitter/X is currently down for many users.

I wrote about the various ways Luka Dončić has already made the Lakers’ lives easier. A skill even more important now as injuries begin to pile up. My latest for: @lakerssbn.bsky.social www.silverscreenandroll.com/2025/3/9/243...

LeBron said this is the play in which he injured his groin. The first thing that came to his mind was the groin injury he suffered in the 2018 Christmas Day game in his first season with the Lakers, but he added that this injury isn't as severe as that one.

LeBron James says there's "not much concern" with the groin injury held him out of the final six minutes of tonight's loss to the Celtics. James added: "Look at it each day to see if it gets better. Take the proper measurements [and] see what we need to do going forward."

So far on Karl-Anthony Towns's postups, the Lakers have sent help from the baseline -- a familiar strategy of theirs.

Luka Doncic and his Lakers teammates are seeing their improved chemistry lead to results – in the forms of improved offense and wins: www.ocregister.com/2025/03/05/l...

Lakers are getting more information on Rui Hachimura's strained left knee, per JJ Redick. The team is optimistic it’s not a serious injury. No timetable. Rui had imaging done today.

Luka Dončić acknowledges that "closure is going to take a while", but he navigated an emotional hurdle in yesterday's win over his former team, the Dallas Mavericks. Now, he and the Lakers can re-focus on a daunting March schedule: www.ocregister.com/2025/02/26/l...

The Lakers honored Anthony Davis with a tribute video midway through the first quarter of their home game against the Mavericks:

"I think this is a good step for me in the right direction to move on." Mavericks wing Max Christie's response when asked if his first game against the Lakers tonight in Los Angeles will help provide closure:

Lakers coach JJ Redick said Max Christie's career is one he feels he'll feel "very invested [in] for the rest of my life." Max on what JJ and his staff meant to him:

"Just a lot of emotions." Max Christie, who spent the first 2 1/2 seasons of his NBA career with the Lakers, on the night he and Anthony Davis were traded to Dallas and the immediate personal aftermath of the deal:

The Lakers were intentional with their defensive gameplan in last night's win over the Nuggets – especially against Denver star Nikola Jokić. On the Lakers’ strategy to limit the threw-time MVP's effectiveness working: www.ocregister.com/2025/02/23/a...
