All in all, mission long weekend accomplished. I so needed the rest a couple extra days afforded me I thought about taking a day trip today, but was leaning towards no, because of the previously mentioned rest. Sleeping in sealed the deal

I lost one of my pearl earrings (I’m pretty sure) on my walk 😭 I thought a bug buzzed me. While I was in the shower, I realized it was probably my earring falling out I retraced my steps to where that happened, and still didn’t find it

The Indian delivery was so quick tonight! I had plenty of daylight to walk to the park down the street. The weather was chilly for a few minutes, then perfect One of the houses I walked by has a (new?) corgi that I got to walk by twice 🥰

I love seeing everyone’s protest pics from today 🫶🏻 I didn’t make it to the local protest today. My anxiety got the better of me I tried not to beat myself up about it, and managed to have a semi-productive day. I did I decent amount of cleaning, organizing, & laundry, with more to come post dinner

A+ first day off. I had my first oil change. There were so many places across the street I’ve never been to, despite living here over 20 years! 😭 A pedestrian bridge that’s lit up red at night, and trails around a local wetlands I saw a mama duck and 4 bebes, and a red-winged blackbird couple 🥹

I’m feeling slightly better today, but still not 100% I did get to see one of my favorite former coworkers who was there for someone else’s retirement party. 🥰 That was a bright spot in an otherwise chaotic day I’m really glad I have a long weekend. I desperately need it!

Other than < 5 min of cleaning and cooking dinner, I rested all day. I went for a slow <1.5 mi walk after dinner 🌅 It finally cooled off here. It was in the low 70s w/a breeze. I needed fresh air, snd easy movement is always good 🥰

I cooked pastina for myself for dinner tonight. It’s such an easy comfort food! Boil 1 c of broth Add 1/4 c of acini di pepe pasta and a pat of butter Turn down heat and simmer until liquid is absorbed Top w/parm & a wee bit more butter
