I unironicaly think it would be good for society if all social media apps put a pay wall on the amount of posts you can do per day. You get 1 free posts and 3 free replies per day and they start charging after that.

Last 2 nights I was dreaming about trying to run a tournament but I was too sick to handle it and it devolved into chaos, this morning I woke up in a cold sweat thinking Grand Finals was still going on at 5am.

I just finished Mob Psycho season 1 and I love the Body Improvement Club so much.

I finished Hunter X Hunter and I think it hated all 148 episodes of it. Can't decide if I should try and watch something well respected next or just more trash.

Second time I've had to ban someone I personally helped get started TOing. Can't pick all winners I guess

Been watching the Mission Impossible movies with my partner and they won't stop saying "Thats just like me in Fortnite"

my punishment for being a pop punk guy growing up is the case by case decision making scrolling my library deciding exactly how cancelled is too cancelled to listen to anymore

A meeting of great minds

I'm at @kjez.bsky.social birthday tournament!

Not cracking 64 attendees for 2 weekend events in a row is definitely a blow to my ego, but also a sign of the times for Smash Ult I guess. Need Smash 6 to drop so I can keep this gimmick going

Happy @kjez.bsky.social day to all who celebrate! 🩷

Im spending my 34th sitting in the corner at a smash tournament, ruining the vibe by reminding all the players of aging, illness and death.

Really horrified by the thought of the phrase "gamer dad".

Logged onto Twitter to promote one of my tournaments. The Smash discourse right now is whether or not it's ok to cheer for upsets. Logged out to protect myself from the mental assault on my brain and forgot to post about my event.

You guys think any media that exists now will permeate though the culture to last for centuries like Dracula and Shakespeare? You think people will still be arguing about Luffy vs Goku in the year 3000?

Its crazy that we have health insurance tied to employment, so I got a life threatening illness, and one of the primary things I must do while trying to recover from this is still wake up and punch in to work every day to ensure I don't lose my coverage.

Never trust a pop punk band with a lead singer who is good looking.

Star Wars Season is CHAOTIC

No matter what generation you're in, if you make fun of/disparage a generation that came after you, you're a loser.

Ive been watching Hunter x Hunter recently cause a lot of people have recommended it to me over the past few years. Im 50 episodes in and I'd say probably 47/50 of those episodes are somewhere between horrible and very boring

Since my brother runs a food truck now a lot of conversations we have involve me trying to incept the idea of adding my favorite sandwiches to his menu. Just casually mentioning tortas and Chicago style italian beef every 5 minutes while we play Monster Hunter Wilds.

Deep diving retro recording equipment just for a bit so I can make a single promo video for a goofy tournament theme I thought of that almost certainly nobody will get but me and i haven't even secured a venue for the event yet. This is truly a passion project.

There's such a hard balance when planning events of price vs payoff. Like it would be so cool to give away trophies for more of my events but in reality a trophy is not getting more people to sign up for a small regional so just can't justify the price.

I been trying to plan a summer camp type Smash event the past 2 years and almost made it real this year but due to my recent diagnosis I'm worried about traveling anywhere for anything right now so I think I'm gonna give up on that for now. Gonna bring back Battle Of The Bads though.

I come from a small town where like the vast majority of people there are not woke in the slightest. I still have a lot of friends from highschool too and I always get nervous to hear their takes on LGBT stuff. But none of them have let me down yet.

While I was in the hospital my insurance delayed approving a procedure that caused me to have to stay an extra 3 days while suffering till they finally gave it a thumbs up. They have also still not approved my cancer treatment medication delaying it for almost 2 weeks now.

In American Psycho the main character starts going on long detailed explanations of his special interest when he gets horny, and my partner said I do the same thing and I am in absolute shambles.

Telling my partner "You just have to watch the first 560 episodes to really get what the shows about, then I can tell you all of my thoughts and feelings about Whitebeard and Ace and Luffy!"

There is this, maybe not rising, but more vocal sentiment around the Smash scene that is basically pointing toward "Nothing anyone does is ban worthy" and I think it makes navigating that kind of stuff even harder and more frustrating than it already is, but it's still a necessity of TOing.

I have been in the hospital all week. After tons of tests and blood work, I was diagnosed with leukemia. But the docs said the type that i likely have has a very high recovery rate for someone my age. Anyway, here's a picture as proof of me being miserable at the hospital.
