Just received an email from Yale implying that the “big beautiful bill” might result in their inability to offer free tuition to low income students (among MANY other things). Increasing endowment taxes at universities from 1.4% to 20% means effectively cutting 1/5 of their yearly operating budgets!

The “Italian” music manuscript I’m currently transcribing is from Trent but composed by French composers (in an English style) and copied in the mid-15th century when Trent was technically a part of Germany/HRE. Nationality is such a social construct 😆.
