The thing I’ve always loved about Neil Young is that there’s a lot about his music that kind of shouldn’t work. Long guitar solos on instruments barely in tune, a voice that’s kind of high pitched and nasal. But it all works. Nobody plays like him.

We came to say hi to Sue (we're still here, my son has an endless supply of energy. Pray for me)

Greetings from the BNSF

this guy spent like 18 hours being an annoying little twerp in my mentions before i finally blocked him but i cannot lie, this one post is kind of a banger

I promise you they were fed up with Monterrey long before this

I can be Completely Normal and Responsible about the Criterion 50% Off Sale at Barnes and Noble this month.

The Great Lakes Republic but unironically.

We got Utica!

Rebekah Del Rio, who worked closely with David Lynch, died this week. Check out her Twin Peaks song, No Stars, and listen one of the richest, smoothest voices you've ever heard. Just gorgeous. www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCfR...

Jesus, this is awful news to wake up to variety.com/2025/film/ob...

In the olden days, when you would carry a flip phone, and you could only get "apps" at Bennigan's, this was how you could tell when a Chicago bus was due. I honestly didn't realize it still works.

#nw The first Fred and Ginger movie!

trying to get everyone to be less into my ideological enemy by nicknaming him Hunk Thunderfist, will report back on how it goes

“How ass are the St. Louis Cardinals?”

This is literally how anyone who has never been in a Costco reacts to seeing a Costco, even people with Sam’s Club memberships. It’s because Costco kicks ass.

Man this movie is so good. Instantly one of my favorites, it flips the expectations on who is corrupting who, and the way it's portrayed is just great. The kind of classic film you could only get before 1934 before the bullshit of the Hays Code.

#nw #filmsky A little 1932 film starring Joan Crawford who plays a sex worker that drives a preacher (played by Walter Huston, John Huston's dad and Angelica Huston's grandfather) mad. That's the good Pre-code stuff baby!

One of the most useful labelers on here. bsky.app/profile/did:...

Just watch, the White Sox are gonna kill two birds with one stone and blame Marte's heckler for the in-stadium shooting from two years ago

I've heard all your arguments about the MCU and I probably agree with most of them. But have you considered that in this particular case I don't care.

Because I've been cool about things to everyone over the years, it's time for me to call in some favors. Everyone has to just pat me on the head and just humor me about the Fantastic Four for a little bit.

So logistically, how does a baseball team actually ban someone?
