140 years ago today, Fr. James Otis Sargent Huntington made his life vows as a monastic in the newly formed Episcopalian mens' Order of the Holy Cross. We celebrate his life vow anniversary today, amid a society that seems hellbent on returning to many of the social evils he fought.

Do please understand: Republicans *loathe* education. They hate it. They hat educated people. They want a public that is ignorant, stupid, uneducated - and gullible. That way, they'll keep voting against their own best interests, because they won't be smart enough to understand what they are doing.
