My nephew called today, he is my heart. He has started working at a small print shop. He was a chef and decided to go back to school and get into something less stressful. “Printing is like being a line cook!” 😂 I’m loving this.

This was a stressful week. What is going on with this administration was bad enough, my mom had a health emergency. Her blood pressure was dangerously low. When she got to the hospital they gave her 2 transfusions. They couldn’t find out where she was losing blood. Ulcers. # TrumpStress

I read that people born after 1957 and vaccinated before 1968 need to get a measles vaccination. I’m in that range but I had the measles when I was a kid. I don’t think I need to get vaccinated, I should have built up an immunity.

Every day at 11:00 AM I give my mom a Forteo injection. I have an alarm set to remind me just in case I am involved with something and lose track of time. Our dogs and cats come running when they hear the alarm. The needles are next to their treats. 😂

This was a hard day. I had to tell my brother that Pop is having a difficult time with his cognitive abilities. Guys just don’t tell each other stuff. The other morning Pop said he was getting worse. That scared me. Watching your parents go through aging is difficult.

My folks bought a case of these Krill pills. They smell like cow shit. I am taking them but I’m reminded that we did toss cow pies at each other when we were kids. First words my mom said when we walked in the house, “Wash your hands”! I wash my hands after I take the Krill. 😁

It’s been a rainy day. Last night we had thunder and lightning. I decided to make chicken soup with dumplings (Hungarian style). I have an abundance of lemons so I think I’ll make a lemon pie for my Pop.

Yesterday my Pop was going to take the truck to get gas but it needs a new fuel pump. His plan was to just keep the truck running. I told him he couldn’t do that. He took 2 gas cans in the car instead. He decided to fill them inside the car. 😳 He spilled gas. 😡

I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me to give my mom her injection at 11:00. I keep her needles and alcohol pads in the pantry so when the alarm goes off and the pantry door opens, 3 dogs and 3 cats run in. Now there’s a commercial that has that ring tone. The disappointment hurts.

I think I just overwhelmed my folks. We have a small car and a small truck. If we have to evacuate I have the truck. Mom won’t drive with my Pop. He really is a terrible driver. We need her walker in the truck. We have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 parrots. We need go bags for all plus we need our own.
