With the Big Beautiful Breakup in the news, don’t lose sight of Trump’s tax bill dropping 16 million Americans— including gun violence survivors—from health care coverage. Or the lives that will be lost because silencers will be accessible to mass shooters. Elon’s right: Kill the bill.

Here’s the scoop on the Big Beautiful Breakup: It’s time to put a stop to Trump’s tax bill. Take action below:

Today, @krisbrown.bradyunited.org joined @blumenthal.senate.gov, @schiff.senate.gov, & @chrismurphyct.bsky.social as they reintroduced legislation to repeal PLCAA, ensure victims of gun violence get their day in court, & that gun businesses can be held accountable for disregarding public safety.

No, actually, we can’t stomach a bill that includes gifts to mass shooters.

The guy on the other platform is tweeting that Congress should kill the Big Beautiful Bill. Who supported it? Republicans. Not a single Democrat. It’s astonishing for a man to spend $300 million to buy an election and then complain about the consequences.

Thrilled to be a part of the Johns Hopkins Break the Cycle Summit today along with @bradyunited.org Chief Medical Officer and Board Chair, @josephsakran.bsky.social. The summit was a powerful opportunity to discuss violence intervention through a comprehensive and coordinated approach.

A 2.4 Trillion deficit and 11 million uninsured is not the Golden Age that anyone had in mind. Disgraceful.

Today’s pro tip: Read the bill before you vote on it.

Federal agencies tweeting false alarms about healthcare for transgender youth or renaming a Navy ship commissioned for a decorated veteran is about something more insidious this Pride Month: It’s an attempt to divide, to turn us against one another, to foster hate. We must resist. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Honored to be speaking at the Johns Hopkins 2025 Break the Cycle Summit to talk about violence intervention programs and youth violence prevention on a panel moderated by Brady Board Chair and Chief Medical Officer @josephsakran.bsky.social.

With June comes Gun Violence Awareness Month. And as part of that—ASK Day. The concept is truly simple: Ask about unsecured guns when your child visits another home. Just like you would ask about supervision and child safety risks. Learn how you can help spread the word on my latest Substack.

Jonathan Joss should be here. Hate and violence are too often a deadly combination. Our thoughts are with Jonathan’s husband and all who loved him.

This is common sense. Our tax dollars shouldn't go to businesses that break the law, period — especially when those businesses are linked to guns used in crimes.

Joni Ernst may not carry whether we live or we die, but I sure the heck do. It is my mission, and the mission of Brady, to remove tone-deaf anti-safety extremists from office. We deserve leaders who will fight for us every step of the way. #IASen

Our advocacy at Brady to ensure the freedom and dignity of EVERY American — including transgender youth — is yet another way to reduce gun violence and save lives. This #PrideMonth we must all commit to creating a just and inclusive future where all LGBTQ+ Americans live safely.

Thinking of all those impacted by the tragedy in Virginia Beach that happened 6 yrs ago today. Survivors who were in the building said they didn’t barricade or try to escape because it didn’t sound like gun shots— because a silencer was used. We must demand senators oppose silencer deregulation.

Before the month ends, please take a moment to vote for @bradyunited.org to receive funds from @credomobile.bsky.social that will support our work to free America from gun violence. Your vote decides how funds will be distributed but tomorrow is the last chance to weigh in!

I’m in #Boston where big, beautiful things are happening under the bold leadership of @mayorwu.boston.gov. As we enter the summer months, there’s great GVP news to report from #NY, #WA, #CO, and even the Supreme Court. Subscribe and read more:

Too many politicians talk when they should listen. I believe that public service is too important for political nonsense — and that's the approach I'll take as Virginia's next Governor. 🚨 Watch our first TV and digital ad of the campaign:

I'm Dr. Annie Andrews. I’m a pediatrician, not a politician. But either way I know how to handle people who are full of sh*t. Today I am announcing my campaign for US Senate to replace Lindsey Graham. Share this if you're with me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8wM...

Capitol Police chief blasts Jan 6 conspiracy theories: “My folks were here on Jan. 6.. They were assaulted.. Many of them were injured. They know exactly what happened on Jan. 6. For somebody to make up some story that, 'Oh, it wasn't that bad’..it is just not true” www.cbsnews.com/news/capitol...

Mayor Wu’s summer safety plan, which focuses on community connection, is an important tool for reducing gun violence particularly as we approach months where incidents are typically on the rise. @mayorwu.boston.gov #Boston

Early voting in #NJ begins next Tuesday, June 3. Make a plan to vote for gun violence prevention champions. #NJGov #NJLeg #Vote

It’s a beautiful day to early vote for gun violence prevention champions in Virginia! #GOTV #Vote #VALeg

Community violence intervention (CVI) organizations on the frontlines of gun violence prevention have received devastating funding cuts from this administration. These programs were authorized with strong bipartisan support and must be maintained. Read my latest Substack to learn how you can help.

CBS News anchor Scott Pelley asked all of the pivotal questions during his commencement address at Wake Forest this weekend, mainly: Who are you? Who are you in this moment? Worth a read below:

This is your daily reminder that the House version of Trump’s tax bill would deregulate silencers, making it more difficult for bystanders to escape a shooting and for law enforcement to locate a shooter, while making it easier for mass shooters to increase their body count. Contact your Senators:

It's been 5 years since George Floyd was murdered. I'm disturbed that the DOJ recently halted ongoing investigations and dropped police agreements put in place after his death and other similar incidents to improve oversight and prevent tragedies. That's dangerous.

If you are the parent of a high schooler, you have likely heard of the Senior Assassin game, where high school seniors are assigned targets to “eliminate” with water guns—often realistic-looking ones. 🧵Here is why this game is troubling. cc @kristinmillersong.bsky.social

This is completely unacceptable. Police violence MUST be addressed.

George Floyd was a father, a son, a human being who should be here with us today. Instead, he was cruelly murdered by a police officer 5 years ago today. We can and we must continue to hold institutions accountable for systemic racism and police violence.

3 years, and this horrific day will never leave our hearts. We hold dear the 21 families in Uvalde, #TX who continue to face the unthinkable, life without a loved one lost to preventable gun violence. 19 children & 2 teachers should be here. Instead they were failed and failed and failed again.

Hey, Wayne LaPierre, you should have asked Marion Hammer to see the receipts because you got played. Brady did not offer Marion Hammer, a woman whose legacy is the headstones of thousands of innocent children, a single dime.

I spoke with #Fox61News yesterday about the deadly deregulation of silencers in the House version of Trump’s tax bill. These devices, without regulation, will be used in horrific crimes in this country.

We need YOU to urge your senators to oppose Trump’s tax bill that would deregulate gun silencers and allow ANYONE to access them. Use our form below.

Republican lawmaker who owns a gun shop worth millions of dollars says he “asked” for the silencer tax break in Trump’s tax bill, clarifies he won even more new tax breaks for silencers www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

This week, Trump and his allies on the Hill took two lethal actions in deregulating silencers — which increase the death count in shootings — and relicensing rogue gun dealers. What’s at stake, and who benefits? Subscribe to my Substack below to read more.

The rise in antisemitism in our country is deeply alarming and we must continue to combat hate in all of its forms.

Rep. Clyde is one of the most corrupt politicians in Washington, using his office for personal gain at every turn. Despite promising to cut deficit spending, he sold his vote on a bill that balloons the federal debt while hurting his constituents — all so he could make more money selling silencers.

It is outrageous that the Trump administration and its allies in the House have advanced a bill that simultaneously puts countless lives at risk and gives a ‘big, beautiful’ gift to gun industry executives and any mass shooter or assassin who intends to take lives.

Early today, the House narrowly passed Trump’s tax bill containing a last-minute and lethal provision to make silencers available to anyone including shooters intent on taking lives. The Senate must reject this devious and deadly provision and act to save lives, not gun industry bottom lines.

This targeted and deliberate attack of senseless violence outside of the Capital Jewish Museum is horrifying and devastating. We can and we must disarm hate in this country. May Sarah and Yaron’s memory be a blessing.

Satisfied with their cuts to school lunches and healthcare for low-income people, House Leadership seemingly thought to themselves, let’s also give a big beautiful gift to mass shooters? www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

Do NOT delay, do not pass go: Call your Representative NOW and urge them to vote “no” on the Big Bailout Bill. The House GOP is now ramming through a new provision to *deregulate silencers* Who does this benefit? The gun industry and shooters intent on taking lives.
