We are facing a serious threat to democracy, law, and liberty. The abuse of prosecutorial power to intimidate, investigate, and detain political opponents is upon us. It is a constitutional crisis. I will keep speaking out until public outrage overflows. I just hope it’s not too little, too late.

A customer told me she couldn't believe this store would put up a Pride display, because what if children see it?? Anyway, it was my display, and I'm proud of it, and you (and your children) should all see it. #BookSky 📚💙

If he has a talent, it’s a master class in manipulating tens of millions while avoiding mountains of accountability

Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate the anniversary of Union troops' arrival in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865, with the news of the Emancipation Proclamation. Today we must continue the work of breaking down inequality and injustice in all of our systems.

Today we honor Juneteenth, a reminder that freedom was fought for, not given. We must honor the past by continuing to fight every day for justice, truth, and equality.

On June 19, 1865, the last slaves in Galveston, Texas rejoiced as they received word of their freedom. 160 years later, we recognize #Juneteenth as a celebration of their strength, resiliency and dreams, and recommit ourselves to working toward a more just and fair society.

Praying for all American troops who may be in harm’s way. Regardless of your politics I think we can all agree to the safety of our troops.

Tomorrow we DISRUPT! #goodtrouble 💙

Does anyone think these unspeakably evil political assassinations of Democratic lawmakers would’ve occurred without the vicious permission structure erected by Trump, Vance, Rubio, and their MAGAts? www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06...

A woman is hospitalized and receives staples in her head after LAPD trampled her with their horses. LAPD also impeded her receiving medical attention.

You know, we used to study Dr Kings civil disobedience as something good. It was

Today I watched as my colleague, @padilla.senate.gov, was shoved and handcuffed by Trump officials. I immediately went to the Senate floor to respond. This is what I said: youtu.be/h40tBBFkiq4?...

If we were a serious country, here is how we'd talk about Biden vs Trump: 1. Biden was too old, but he ran the most competent government in our lifetimes & it was full of highly qualified experts 2. Trump is too old & a criminal fascist & the government is failing & full of malevolent incompetents

If that’s what they do to a United States Senator with a question, imagine what they can do to any American that dares to speak up. We will hold this administration accountable.

Sen. Alex Padilla, who was just forcibly removed from a DHS press conference, is the ranking member of Judiciary’s subcommittee on immigration, citizenship, and border safety, which has “oversight of federal agencies with citizenship, asylum, refugee, and immigration enforcement responsibilities.”

The right to peacefully protest is fundamental. It is in the Constitution. No president can nullify it—because in the United States of America, we have no kings. Join @indivisible.org and more this weekend to make your voice heard: www.nokings.org

Thoughts?

NONE OF THIS HAD TO HAPPEN.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Did Trump call in the National Guard because ICE agents were afraid the rhythm was going to get them?

When the LA police says you are overreaching, you are overreaching.

January Trump approval on the economy: plus +8.24 points Today Trump approval on the economy: minus -15.75 January Trump approval on inflation: plus +1.99 Today Trump approval on inflation: minus -22.24 So clearly it's time to deploy the Marines in L.A.? www.newsweek.com/donald-trump...

On his first day in office, Donald Trump pardoned 169 people who were convicted of assaulting police officers on January 6.

Holy shit, this is horrifying. Today and every day we stand with @seiuca.bsky.social and our immigrant friends and neighbors.

This guy stole $10 million from the employees of his nursing home to buy himself a luxury yacht and Cartier watches. He PLED GUILTY. And because his Mom gave Trump $1 million, he just got a pardon. And this story barely makes the news today. WTF. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/27/u...

"As Musk slinks away, spending went up, not down, during his tenure, and DOGE made the government less efficient, not more..." "A legacy of shattered institutions, weakened public services, and fired civil servants who did nothing but serve their country well..." www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Spare me the fake outrage. None of these people showing up for court are criminals of any kind. As a prosecutor, I worked with many ICE officers who arrested violent criminals. None of them wore masks. Many of your agents are clearly ashamed to carry out your orders.

The Memorial Day Message from the President of the United States of America, in memory of those who have given their lives defending America, the Constitution, and the freedoms that we Americans enjoy on this Memorial Day 2025.

On Memorial Day we honor the service members who gave their lives for our nation, and the loved ones who bear the burden of their loss. That is a sacrifice that cannot be repaid. As we work toward peace, let us never forget those who have served on our behalf.
