Day 24: Barrier #TrekSky 🖖 #RiftTreks #StarTrek The deflector shields were invented as a feature on ships by the creators of Star Trek so they didn't have to damage and replace their ship models- a very costly proposition! As CGI became easier, we tended to see ship damage more often.
