SCOTUS refused to hear 2 significant cases challenging Maryland’s state-wide ban on semiautomatic rifles/other assault-style weapons (surprising for the conservative majority). So, gun control law will stay in place for now. Also refused: challenge to R.I.'s restrictions on high-capacity magazines.
