I deleted all Meta so the era has passed but I still think about the time I whispered “flex a little to look bigger” to the girl in the window seat so no one would sit in the middle. Worked a charm, we shared snacks and added each other on Instagram. The vibe was “women’s bathroom at the bar”.

I’ve realized what’s irritated me about a lot of the posts that I see here. It’s the phrasing of things like“this is just how it’s going to be forever now” which is a defeatist mentality. What sort of resistance operates under the sad sack idea that that change is impossible? A losing one.

Btw if you’re in the situation where there’s a m-ga person spreading disinformation, I’ve had some success in getting them to fact check lies by laughing as if they cannot be serious. “lol, you mean the pic he showed of the Congo?
