AOC: "They have released chaos in LA by violently raiding & ripping apart peaceful public spaces, and now they are tackling & arresting US sitting members of Congress, while going on the record & lying about what happened.

I'm seeing a lot of this. Has anyone done a deep dive to assess whether there's any credibility to the allegations or if it's a bunch of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories on the left? substack.com/inbox/post/1...

SHAME

holy shit -- acting US attorney Thompson details that Boelter went to the homes of two other elected officials after shooting Hoffman but before going to Hortman's house. One cop encountered him at the third house but thought he was a police officer.

Besides this being nearly incoherent and full of lies, I am still baffled whenever I see the word transgender in a post about immigration. It’s just kind of stuck in there like catnip to get the MAGAts blood boiling harder.

Arrested for wearing a mask. Your tax dollars.

Arturo Obrego, a 77-year-old army veteran who hitchiked from Huntington Beach is going viral for getting hit with wooden baton by officers on horses and knocked down during today’s peaceful “No Kings” protest in DTLA. @TheGlutster ran into him at Union Station a couple of hours after the incident.

The political assassinations in MN = domestic terrorism. A reminder that the guy now running the DHS division responsible for combating domestic terror & targeted attacks is a 22 yr old with no federal experience, and whose last job was his own lawn mowing biz. Dems should now be screaming this.

MSNBC reporter in gas mask in Los Angeles: I think it was Sheriffs deploying CS gas, tear gas, pepper spray, and flash bang grenades in large numbers. Mounted units pushing against protesters.., every single gathering I saw today was 100% peaceful

Trump to address the nation and condemn the politically motivated assassinations today in Minnesota. Any time now. Any time now.

Ocean Beach San Francisco today. #NoKings We were there

San Jose, California says NO to fascism! Thousands more than the last 50501 protest a few months ago. Americans are waking up and seeing the threat to our democracy and the crimes committed seemingly every day by this corrupt and evil administration #nokings #fuckice

Gilead in FORT WORTH, TX #NoKingsDay

We have entered the "The police is saying that if the police is at your door you are not safe call the police immediately" stage of making America great again

Trump’s America.

"Sheriff has history of cop-like behavior"

Hmmmm . . . I wonder how the Minnesota assassin might have had access to a police uniform, a police badge, and a police cruiser. Are we *sure* he was "impersonating" a police officer?

This is a direct result of the administration actively concealing the identities of ICE and other law enforcement. Do not tell me otherwise. www.thedailybeast.com/ake-cop-shoo...

The “anti-war” president sure seems to enjoy talking about death and slaughter.

I'm a human rights lawyer. If you're exercising your human right to protest on June 14, here are 13 rules I recommend you follow. No paywall. Free access. Please do read and share: www.qasimrashid.com/p/13-rules-t...

Trumpism proceeds by the successive breaking of taboos. Each time a new one is broken, the previous one is normalized, made to look not so bad by comparison. The cuffing of Padilla was a red-line moment. https://trib.al/soZ0D2H

As a side note, this is why many of us have criticized the Gaza campaign. In one night, Israel hit Iran’s air defenses, leadership, top scientists, *and* damaged nuclear sites. They’re elite—and precise—when they want to be.

My friends, it's not just happening in a galaxy far, far away.

AOC: When they say illegal vs legal immigration—they are trying to end legal status in the US making people undocumented and then they have the audacity to call them illegal when they were here documented.

TEAR DOWN THE GODDAMN WALLS

A group of us have arrived on the Senate floor to challenge our colleagues - on both sides of the aside - to rise to this moment and jointly condemn what has happened to Sen. Padilla. Yes we still need to collect the full facts, but this appears to be a defining moment for the country.

SEN. PADILLA: “Saying I lunged is a lie, but that’s par for the course for this administration… I was behind the cameras listening, and at a certain point hearing Noem say they had to rescue LA from the Governor and Mayor was too much to take. So I raise my voice to ask a question.”

Dictator for one day, huh?

I hate the “he’s such a nice guy” response to something like the Senator Alex Padilla situation, because someone shouldn’t have to be a nice guy to not be treated the way he was. But I do want to say, as someone who has known him since 2009, he is one of the most decent and kind people I know.

This is a lesson the men who manhandled U.S. Senator Alex Padilla need to learn.

Every word of this is false. Why would the New York Times even print this?

Sen. Murphy: "It's becoming clear that the main justification seems to be that Sen. Padilla was showing some level of disrespect. The first comments from our Republican colleagues, if you're an American who cares about free speech, are really concerning."

Christina Ruffini was the anchor.

I'm on my way to the Senate floor to talk about the assault on my colleague, Senator Alex Padilla. This is a horrifying moment in our nation’s history.
