Maybe unpopular to say but I don't particularly care for this list. Some great films no doubt, but it's a very self-serious collection leaning towards the cynical. Shockingly few fun, life-affirming, hopeful, or romantic movies are listed. Plus, the same male auteur directors appear over and over.
