At some point closer to the City Council election I'm going to write a thing about how once you've filtered down to the candidates you really like, you can then just pick the order of candidates on your ballot randomly. I might title it "One Weird Trick That City Council Candidates Hate".

If you have a Dem senator, do not assume they will challenge the all-ages trans healthcare funding ban in the budget bill. Call them *today*. I’m squeezing my calls in between meetings. Cis folks doing “We support trans kids,” please please be on this.

This is a part of the passport win i haven't seen anywhere else yet, so i want to make sure as many of you see it as possible: If your passport was altered against your will, at any point in the last year, file this form 👇🏾 to initiate data correction, for free

A question that keeps coming up is: "What sets you apart from Rep. Stephen Lynch? How would you be different?" So I decided to kick off our campaign Substack with a post that answers that question. 🧵 below, click through to sign up! patrickroath.substack.com/p/when-it-ma...

GO GET YOUR FUCKING PASSPORTS

So I just want to be clear that the gentile President's anti-immigrant goons illegally assaulted and kidnapped the leading Jewish candidate for Mayor in New York City for walking into a federal building for the crowd that is keeping track of The Antisemitism Problem

Sending a message to people in power is still part of it though. Many MA politicians effectively have a lifetime tenure; they can mostly ignore the public. 5 MA Congressional Reps voted to thank ICE last week. Sufficiently large scale protests can force them to realize this is politically risky.

On Monday June 16, Cambridge City Council will vote on 2 policy orders that would cancel or indefinitely delay critically needed Broadway separated bike lanes + pedestrian safety improvements. Email [email protected], cc [email protected], and tell them No Delays on Broadway

is it ethical to boo Josh Kraft's campaign if they're marching in Pride

📢The MA House and MA Senate are currently negotiating the FY 2026 budget. Take action today to make sure your state rep and state senator hear from you about essential investments and policy. A thread (1/x) 📢 actionnetwork.org/letters/fy20...

This guy has single-handedly driven some of the most dedicated Democratic activists I know off of the City Committee. He blocked me on Twitter for *faving* tweets calling him out for his transphobic revisions to the Ward 7 Committee's bylaws. Please do not put him anywhere near power, Somerville!

'“I think we all deserve nice things and new things, but not at the expense of a real community process,” said Mejia.... Added Council President Ruthzee Louijeune, “I am concerned that there isn’t enough community buy-in.”' Apparently bus riders aren't part of the community.

Auchincloss, Keating, Neal, Lynch, and Moulton voted for this. If you are represented by one of them, give a call? Jon’s blog explains in detail what they voted for.

People ask, "What can lawmakers do about ICE?" and this is a very specific thing they can do! The jail's entire budget is funded by the state.

The Fair Share amendment has been outperforming expectations and helping our state invest in universal school meals, free community college, far-free transit, and so much more, and Healey is out here shit-talking it to rich people and peddling debunked lies about "outmigration."

Kind of embarrassing that Mayor Simmons objected to the amendment strengthening the welcoming cities ordinance. If the argument is that *police* are afraid of escalating/retaliation from ICE, what hope do ordinary residents have? Emailing tomorrow ([email protected] if you want to write too)
