Saturday shift on deck. Survival! Survival is the goal. Wish me luck.

It really is this simple. #TransRightsAreHumanRights

Oh yeah nice one kid hook that hope for humanity right into my veins

In an absolutely devastating ruling, the Supreme Court has allowed the transgender military ban to go into effect. This is shocking - the ban explicitly called transgender people dishonorable for being transgender. It is as clear as day soaked in animus. www.supremecourt.gov/docket/docke...

This is a hard one, this day. Nothing in particular. Just really hard to flip the internal monologue to a healthier channel.

A thread of interdimensional portals I've found on walks in the British countryside.

The fact that they’re tracking autism and not the bird flu automatically tells you they’re operating on eugenics and not actually wanting people to be healthy. They want you sick, disabled, or dead.

the thing I hate most about that rfk quote is that autistic lives have value and worth and beauty and dignity whether they are able to do the things other people do or not. no one is defined by ability or lack thereof and to frame divergence as lack is monster stuff, utterly godless

Your periodic reminder that one way to think about privilege is: who's allowed to make mistakes?

Maybe we should honor the women who were real astronauts. From left to right are Shannon W. Lucid, Margaret Rhea Seddon, Kathryn D. Sullivan, Judith A. Resnik, Anna L. Fisher, and Sally K. Ride. NASA selected all six women as their first female astronaut candidates in January 1978.

Our small-town #handsoff protest had 1,000 people! Good showing today, friends.

i for one would rather post about tear-offs. 🧻

All Your Friends are Here is one of the best books I've read this year and my book people will be receiving copies as presents. More Tenebrous Press for me in the near future.

Happy World Autism Awareness Day! This is my first WAAD as an officially diagnosed Autistic Person (tm). I'm celebrating my own awareness, so there.

Happy TDoV! My daughter and I are attending our town’s small gathering and she has made a new friend. Good moment.

It’s beautiful in DC right now. Peak bloom from the cherry blossoms and petals drift by wherever you walk, blown in from some distant or nearby tree. When I first transitioned, they were blooming, years ago. On this Transgender Day of Visibility, I am yearning for our own spring to return.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

One of his books will make you feel better!

The United States of America is the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care as a human right. The result: We rank dead last among wealthy nations in life expectancy. We must end that international embarrassment. Yes. We need Medicare for All.

Hi, just a reminder that when you use Libro.fm for your audiobooks, you support independent bookshops vs. large corporations that drive them out of business. We also pay taxes. And so do indie bookshops.

There's a definite Hoggle moment in Nosferatu for Herr Knock, isn't there? Not just me, right? That one plaintive close-up.

The BBC’s library of classic sci-fi sounds is now available to sample.

Just discovered that there's playable versions of Centipede and Asteroids on the AARP web site and now I need to sit down and dissolve into a pile of dust www.aarp.org/games/catego...

Oh my god. They removed "transgender" from the page about Trans woman Sylvia Rivera's page at the National Park service. "Sylvia Rivera began fighting for gay and _____ rights" WOW.

Our town's democratic committee vice chair just dropped off their inauguration weekend service project--Valentine's gift bags for the queer kids coming in for tonight's rainbow program. A little light in a lot of dark. <3

There are more anti-trans bills than there are trans athletes. This is a solution in search of a problem. A villain for the GOP to distract Americans from the fact Musk is stealing all of our money. www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...

Good night from Lacey.

We are members of Congress at the Treasury Department. We want to be let in to provide oversight on behalf of our constituents. @jasmineforus.bsky.social @sethmagaziner.bsky.social

You know what would be great is if these weird assholes could get to know exactly one trans person and see that they're just people trying to get by like everyone else

Who's having a Day? All of us?! Wow! Can't go under it, can't go around it...guess we better go on through. Keep going, folks. Keep going.

so like if the doomsday clock hits midnight do we still have to go to work or what's the plan

I continue to add to this list. I also have removed training info that is now outdated.

As chilling a meme as I have seen. But I agree.

Ahhhhhhhhhh Nosferatu. Loved it. Perfection. No notes. Viewing order for next marathon: Nosferatu (Murnau), Nosferatu (Herzog), Shadow of the Vampire (Merhige), Nosferatu (Eggers).

Hey hey! I arrived at work to find there is a gas leak and we are closed to the public until the afternoon. No big deal. And maybe, just maybe, the heat will be fixed by tomorrow. 🙃

Thank you to the USPS passport agent who urged us to get my daughter a passport card as well as a passport. That federal i.d. is good for a decade, amen.

Drama

My kids were thoughtful to each other today. It was spontaneous and unscripted and I am grateful.

We do not got this. Day 3 off and only now able to communicate a little. Wishing everyone the emotional support familiar they need.

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

Currently sitting in someone’s living room waiting for Sadurn to play. Surreal. Great, but surreal.

"Don't have heroes" ok got it, but is it too much to hope that the writers who help make our dreams are decent people? Grady Hendrix better not break my heart. I have hand sold his work to large numbers of readers.

See you at HELLMOUTH 🔥 Join us as Dr Hood discusses individual methods of belief formation with Lucien, Melankali and Koroc. How might these methods and our opinion change when confronted with evidence that conflicts our current views? See you Tuesday! 🐐 🧠 📚
