At AWS, I led the team that built EC2's Nitro virtualization stack— C code deployed to 500K servers. Biggest lesson? Pre-production testing has limits. You must embrace safe production testing. My new blog explains how Nitro did it, and how Junction brings this to any Kubernetes team.

This has to be the best blog post I have read on monorepos. This highly resonates from my experience as well. Must read if you are considering migrating to one. blog.swgillespie.me/posts/monore...

How do I unsubscribe and go to a different multiverse? I don’t want to live in that one.

This was such a beautiful and tragic read. I loved the juxtaposition of city planning. Wondering what SF could have been if we just said yes instead of no. Similarly, I read Erza Klein’s Abundance, which I also enjoyed

This is so real lmaoooo "She booked a solo trip to Iceland while you were composing your <<good morning>> text" 😂😂

I have been diving deep into Ryan Coogler and he is becoming one of my favorite directors. Best thing I learned is that the vampires are inspired by death in Puss and Boots 2!!! That movie is also a sleeper hit!!

Every time I work in Docker, I feel like I had amnesia and forgot the magic incantation to make Docker do what I want. Of course in reality, this is not true and I get better/faster every time I do something in it, and always learn (or relearn) something. But doesn’t feel that way when I’m in it.

This is an insane record for a movie director. He should be able to make whatever movie he wants given the ROI. Sinners is so fantastical. Go see it in IMAX if you can!

I just need everyone to watch this and understand I have been laughing about it for 24 hours

A great read. Software engineering is changing with AI and it’s not a bad idea to strategize what you want as this happens. annievella.com/posts/the-so...

I was so impressed by providing chatgpt a photo and creating a studio ghibli style rendering.

It’s international women’s day! Rather than posting some tech content, I decided to promote myself in action sports, as I love walking up the hill and sliding down! 📸 by Scott Rinckenberger and Matt Patterson!

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F. 18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it. We made this website to tell our story: 18f.org

The SNL music documentary, Ladies & Gentlemen... 50 Years of SNL Music, is super well done. Especially the first intro segment. Co-directed by Questlove!!! You can see his love for music in this documentary!!

😂😂😂

We have been working on to launch our new iteration of our product. Local-first, markdown-based, versioned by git. Onboarding is still rough. We will be coming out with better templates and examples soon. Please check it out and give us your thoughts!

every year, I keep entering the lottery and never getting it. Don't know why I keep doing it though.

At Moment, we heavily use prosemirror and react for our text editor. They are great libraries and the journey to get them working well has been hard. This post does a great job explaining why it’s hard and the solution he built, which is what we do today! smoores.dev/post/why_i_r...

I’m mad that there are no clips of the performances of the Grammys on YouTube. I want to see dochiee’s performance so bad!!

This past week, I’ve been writing a lot of Rust with the libgit2 FFI bindings. I am surprised how much I’ve been enjoying it vs Zig/C.
