An endangered Piping Plover pair (Monty and Rose) appeared at Montrose Beach in 2019 and fledged 2 chicks. That was the first time Chicago had seen Piping Plovers in 71 years! Today we saw one of the Piping Plovers at the beach. #birds #birdphotography
