Loki wants to know if you have cuddled somebody you love lately? #cats

We love an unboxing video, especially when the subject is absolutely terrible in front of a camera 📦 Are these paperbacks of KILN ME SOFTLY not the most beautiful books you ever did see?

Three days to go and my amazing husband @nmjcoveney.bsky.social is only £96 away from his final Kickstarter goal. Supper him and get a queer YA debut that’s part Buffy, part Stranger Things, and part gamer heaven. www.kickstarter.com/projects/203...

Now only 8 days to go and we need another £1235 to unlock the unabridged audiobook - had a great amount of support y’day and then a hefty cancellation for some reason today 🥺. Anyway please continue sharing and backing if you can

Absolutely agree. Same for the publishing industry all over - we’re never going to see diversity there until people are given a living wage from the beginning.

Publishing has a serious class problem. It is one of the most socially exclusive of all creative industries. Please, if you can, read this. @thebookseller.com @ipghq.bsky.social thebeemagazine.com/publishings-...

You've seen the line up, you've seen the date, but what IS It's Strange Up North? We're here to tell you exactly that! In the image because there's too much going on to fit into a single post 😆 Tickets are available now and they're going fast: www.waterstones.com/events/its-s...

Bag yourself a dystopian zombie bargain!!

99.9% of #amquerying writers don't need to hear this. For the rest: threatening and burning bridges with even a single agent will make your path to publication a hundred times harder. Agents talk and they've got each other's backs. Also, don't be a shitty human being.

There's an amazing SF&F community fundraiser for trans rights going on at the moment. Read all about it here: www.cheryl-morgan.co...

Penguin Random House is looking for new queer voices and is currently taking unagented submissions for fiction and nonfiction by LGBTQ+ writers. www.instagram.com/p/DI9PlxCRp38/ #BookSky #QueerBookSky #LGBTQBooks #WritingCommunity 🌈📚

Hello friends, I've been hit with an emergency bill, so I'm opening up a few slots for editorial services. I'll cover the details in thread but would appreciate any shares. I'm a Tessera Editorial alum, have several short fiction credits, and have helped several writers with their query materials.

We're blown away by how much love and support there's been for the Genre Creators for Trans Rights in SA and UK auction. We've got awesome donations from SF, fantasy, romance, horror and crime writers, artists, creators and one neuroscientist. Please share! Please bid! bit.ly/genrefortrans.

If you are a marginalized author writing books about characters from marginalized groups. I need you to know that it may look hopeless right now, but your books are needed now more than ever.

I was just told that my launch event in Glasgow was going to be cancelled because I don't have *enough* tickets sold. Humiliating—not least because I worked my butt off for this book & went to other people's launches. If I could sell a few more today, maybe I could change their minds. Please.

JK, are you listening? Oh, that’s right, you never do any more.

So in the midst of the chaos and joy of Eastercon, @ngjeannette.bsky.social and I have set up a charity auction: Genre Creators for Trans rights in the UK and South Africa as a small personal response to what's happening in the world. You can bid on cool things here www.32auctions.com/genrefortrans

A propos of nothing, three trans books published by us. A Fix of Light by Kel Menton is a trans love story with a magical Irish twist. It’s friends to lovers, it’s romance, it’s fantasy, but it’s not romantasy! Booklist called it “an all around masterpiece”! www.littleisland.ie/products/a-f...

While it doesn’t feel like doing much in the face of everything, I can help uplift trans voices. Trans authors, I’ll be offering free 15 min calls to demystify the publishing industry and answer any questions. My email is on the Ki website! (NOTE: this is not a platform to pitch for rep)

Why Supporting Trans Authors After the UK Supreme Court Ruling Is Critical Can you all please read and share it across your social media Platforms? I'm not on TikTok , Insta, etc, so any shares over on there would be fab. Hopefully this explains what we are hoping to do over on GNoH

If you see this post a blue character.

Just finished watching Adolescence - what an absolute tear-jerking brilliant piece of work. Definitely worth a watch. I worry a lot about what effect social media will have on my daughter as she grows up - it's such a new set of problems to deal with that we didn't have as kids.

Every feminist I know supports their sisters, cis and trans, and their non-binary siblings, concerned with domestic violence, public safety, equal pay, employment protection, access to healthcare, and other discrimination issues. Obsessing over who uses which loo isn't feminism. It's bigotry.
