The only reality show I want is the live coverage of these folks at the Hague.

Holy fuck.

The whole 'Grok is a boer now' thing is very funny, but it also really exposes how every 'AI tool' isn't just passively biased from training data, but actively designed to shape your worldview according to the interests of the billionaires who made them.

Everything short of maximal obstruction and upholding their constitutional oaths is an attempt to Tinkerbell clap the politics of 1999 back into existence

Great thread and yet another example of an opportunity that will never get taken up by the current Democratic leadership. Primary challengers should 100% take this and run with it.

It is an absolute disgrace and political malpractice that the GOP was allowed to claim this for their mantle.

Dude wants to turn Airbnb into LivingSocial?

AI in the hands of experts to reduce rote work, or explore tangential solutions can be transformative. AI in the hands of novices is a crutch that actively thwarts knowledge development. In 5-10 years there's going to be a stark contrast btw those that came of professional age pre-AI.

The hubris would make Elizabeth Holmes blush.

Oh you sweet self-driving summer child. You think you can handle Boston traffic? Motherfucker, lanes don't exist there. It's lord of the flies. You drive based on the fucks you give relative to the other sadists at the intersection. Good luck.

Been in commercial and govt software development for 20 years. Have never had a "radically sped up time frame" result in anything but an absolute clusterfuck with terrible outcomes.

This sums up my loyalty to any Dem incumbent. I would vote for a Republican who is willing to fight for the constitution and rule of law over a Dem that covers all the liberal shibboleths. Literally nothing I care about will improve if we don't root out authoritarianism.

At this point I no longer care at all about the ideological divides in the Democratic coalition and am entirely focused on fight/ no-fight. I’ve no interest in arguing about optimal healthcare policy during the trip to the gulags.

Can someone in Dem leadership just start drafting simple, universally popular anti-corruption bills. Their failure to take that obvious route is giving away the game a bit, no?

“And so the Greeks send me this horse, we’re talking about one of the most beautiful horses you’ve ever seen. So big. So strong. Normally they keep this kind of horse for themselves but they were such big fans they said sir, please take our big wonderful horse we’ll even bring it to your house”

They [rightly] call Trump a fascist, then said they’d work with him. They [rightly] call on Cuomo to resign, then support his attempted political comeback. This is why people do not trust the democratic establishment: they keep showing they have no real principles, just pathetic fingers to the wind.

I really don't think LLMs are going to be anything more than competent assistants to people who know what they're doing and what they want as output. But I am thinking more and more there are areas where they're just going to obliterate people whose work is bottom-quartile and they need to eat too

May their eventual lawsuits be fruitful.

If he's from Chicago can we call him "DA POPE"?

It needs to be made clear that any future administration will cancel these visas on day 1.

Real talk though. Lots of justice, national security and humanitarian reasons for the next admin to flat out seize starlink...

“All of us have a duty as human beings to speak out about what’s happening.” Agreed. And it’s so rare to hear this from member of the US Congress.

We're getting to Saddam Hussein levels of gilding. May he see the same fate.
