Amazing! Good job, voters! As a reminder, Huntington Beach, located in Orange County, has a long history of active white supremacist organizations.

Jeffries should have been out there IMMEDIATELY saying that his entire caucus was filing articles of impeachment against Noem. These people LOVE to issue letters. Think of this as a souped up letter and then BASH HER WITH IT DAILY. Every time you can start a sentence with: "NOEM must be impeached"

I would like to once again say that once they arrested Ras Baraka every elected Dem should have understood what was in store.

I just wanna say something really plainly that I haven’t seen spelled out like this There is no such thing as legal immigration anymore. Because they are taking people at their citizenship hearings they are taking people who are doing everything by the book. 1/2

It has happened here before, and this looks like that. I am literally about to give a talk about the violent takeover of democratic governance in the Reconstructed South, and this looks like that. It is not the same, but if you do not see it at all, you are not looking.

"Please continue peacefully protesting": Sen. Padilla after forced removal from DHS presser

Resign now, Kristi Noem.

If that’s what they do to a United States Senator with a question, imagine what they can do to any American that dares to speak up. We will hold this administration accountable.

What happened to Sen. Padilla is a disgrace. Elected officials are supposed to speak for the people. When the government starts throwing Senators to the ground for doing that, we’ve left democracy behind. You don’t have to wonder what a fascist regime looks like. This is it.

It’s not illegal for a United States Senator to go to a public press conference and ask questions about your constituents safety. It's our job.

Just so we're all clear: It's not a coincidence that the first senator they've used physical force against is Sen. Alex Padilla, a Latino man representing California.

"We ... support the university’s fight against government overreach. [But Harvard] has committed a different kind of discrimination ... We reject Harvard’s troubling assumption that being Jewish necessitates supporting Israel, or that criticism of Israel’s genocide in Gaza constitutes antisemitism."

Yes. I thought that was what I said. But yes. And it will work. It has always worked and we are not different people.

Speaker Mike Johnson just called on the Senate to censure...Sen. Alex Padilla. You read that right. The American Fascist Party at work.

No Democratic votes for anything, maximum time taken to do everything, etc. etc. etc.

NEW: The City of Los Angeles files an amicus brief arguing that the presence of the military in LA is unlawful and counterproductive—with an early reference to the 2024 Dodgers parade (not a "rebellion"). storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

We are definitely in "freedom is slavery" territory

Do something dramatic like walk out of there with the 46 other Democrats and march on the DHS headquarters, or the White House. It's not business as usual. You really expect "answers" from a fascist regime?

ICE agents saw a brown man speak up at Kristi Noem's conference and went to work. Didn't matter that it was Senator Padilla. Anyone who thinks their wealth, power and privilege will protect them, just see this video.

Yeeeeeeeep. It’s also another example that no matter the title, a lot of times Black and Brown folk are just n-words with a degree to law enforcement. They don’t care.

Trump is a cancer. Enough is enough.

@schiff.senate.gov Below are some excellent suggestions for you and the rest of the Senate!

Sitting US Senator Alex Padilla forcibly wrestled to the ground and arrested by the FBI for attempting to ask a question of DHS secretary Kristin Noem.

Students and their families are terrified to show up at UCLA commencement this weekend. We are trying to get administrators to commit resources to their safety, so far without success.

BREAKING 🚨: U.S. Dollar The USD has now lost almost 10% of its value this year 📉💸

Sen. Alex Padilla, who was just forcibly removed from a DHS press conference, is the ranking member of Judiciary’s subcommittee on immigration, citizenship, and border safety, which has “oversight of federal agencies with citizenship, asylum, refugee, and immigration enforcement responsibilities.”

Sen. Chris Murphy responds to DHS claim that Padilla was "disrespectful." "Even if you believe that he was disrespectful — and given the times that is certainly in the eye of the beholder — that never justifies what we saw on that video."

The brutal treatment of Sen. Padilla reveals these thugs for who they are. They are making America a police state. This is not a time for leading Dems to send tepid messages of condemnation. It is a time for them to show up and stand up. Go to every Trump event.Speak out. Dare them to drag you away.

Are they going to indict Senator Padilla too?

Excellent article by @gregggonsalves.bsky.social about the amazing NIH staff letter! See defend research.org to learn about actions to #DefendResearch! Sign the Declaration, call elected officials, write letters to the editor, talk to your family and friends! www.thenation.com/article/acti...

Shame on @tulaneu.bsky.social for its #censorship of research in order to allow companies to continue polluting and creating physical harm to communities, and of course these are communities of color that are being impacted. The #racism is obvious. apnews.com/article/canc...
