Zohran Mamdani's wife looks like a fin de siècle actress who would bewitch gilded age gents that opposed universal suffrage

During the Trump $45 million military parade, I used the lull in DC to finally check out the National Museum of African American History. I didn't even finish the first floor in my two hours.

My stereotypical "decent wine" selection process for French or Italians: pick CA, Chilean, or South African red wine that's a Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec or Pinot that's over $25 and not a blend. I have decided I shall never commit to a deeper thought process about this.

Nothing makes me feel like I know things than teaching these law students.

Wow I was really under on the over-under Trump Elon relationship breakdown betting pool. I thought it'd be a year.

I am sitting (remotely) in another bankruptcy hearing for Alex Jones and Infowars' parent company Free Speech Systems, as is my karmic punishment for misdeeds in a past life, and I will let you know if anything interesting happens

wow, Alex Jones is horrible in a new way I didn't realize! He apparently doxxed Alexandra Lee of the satanic doowop band Twin Temple in 2023. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_Te.... Anyway their music is banging and I highly recommend.

My daughter told me that if you put "-ai" at the end of your google search terms, it doesn't return that irritating Ai paragraph at the start, and she's right!

“I store the meat in the belly of my brother.” - quote and source in Robin Wall Kimmerer, The Serviceberry

the wildest part about authors using ai is that chatgpt doesn't give you prose on par with nabakov. it generates the shapeless mechanical sentences any talented writer can spit out as a placeholder so they don't lose their flow

Most surprising responses so far: a group dinner followed by community leadership improv exercises; a series of personal presentations of homemade art by friends; a scheduled day of tutors in language, fitness and vocal lessons.

Donna Tartt's The Secret History is such a perfect book. I am weak in the knees for books with snobs that sprinkle in Latin and expect every English speaker to get on board. #booksky 📚💙
